Since last update with tsw4 on PS5 the issue started with journeys, the screen alternating from game to black every few seconds. It has now progressed to the whole game including the loading screen. All other games on my ps5 work perfectly including tramsim. I can't play the game at all. Need a fix quick. Can't see this posted anywhere else so created this thread

TSW 4 works fine on my PS5. If there is a problem with the image, I would try replacing the HDMI cable. Use a high-speed cable min. HDMI 2.0. Also add a larger description of the problem.

Not a cable problem as everything else works fine

I‘d still try a different cable especially if you can borrow one. I had a similar issue. TSW / Hogwarts Legacy were both fine but Gran Turismo 7 kept going to a black screen for a few seconds then randomly coming back. No idea why but a change of cable (advice from Sony working through a trouble shooting list that they sent me) solved it and it’s been fine ever since.

Other than that, if a complete reinstall doesn’t work then it sounds like Sony is your best option.

I have one more idea. Turn off the TV and unplug the power cord. Same with PS5. Wait 15 seconds for the temporary data storage to be deleted. Then plug everything back in.

Ok thanks I'll try a different cable / unplugging everything. If that doesn't work then looks like a complete reinstall :(

TSW4 works fine on my PS5. But I had a similar problem when I plugged a cheap HDMI cable to the TV and started to run TSW in 4k res. Replacement with a better quality cable fixed the issue.

To reiterate on what Pipe has said. Not all HDMI cables are equal. For a 4K 60/120hz output, you will need an HDMI 2.1b cable. It would be best to get one that has been certified.

The HDMI 2.1 cable I have is high quality 4k 120hz, having said that I unplugged everything and restarted PS5 and reloaded tsw4, I have only had time to try one route the one that failed earlier. This time had no problems so hopefully all solved.
