It's supposed to be an old runaway photo.. but I guess you can just call this a rescue or something. Idk, you can make up the scenario, it's fine.

I agree. I think this should just have been called incidents or environmental incidents. I honestly think that there is not a lot of thought that goes into some of these themes.

It is quite remarkable to think that DTG are actually asking for screenshots showing derailments and runaways in an official competition.
And then everyone wonders why Train Operating companies are refusing to give them permissions to use their liveries etc?

We already have 3 derailments, 1 trespasser and 1 'collision caused by a signalling error'.
Enter this 'competition' and you are, perhaps, helping to ensure that no new content enters the game.
(I wonder what LIRR would have to say if they notice someone posting a screenshot of one of their EMUs upside down in an "Official" competition? That has to be against their licence surely).

This week's competition really should be cancelled in its current form before it makes DTG look ridiculous and damages the game.

I think that the screenshot comp should be managed by someone different. I would do it, but I don't work for DTG, but I have a good photographic eye as I do photography. I honestly think that there are better pictures and compositions that what is picked sometimes as a winner. I also think that the themes should be more carefully picked, with more variety. I have mentioned this before, but as usual nothing happens. I think that the theme for this week should be void, until a new one starts next Monday.

 

I have to admit I too am baffled by the theme of this week's contest. Surely there are limits to what is allowed to be shown? Most of the screenshots on this thread aren't appropriate for a loading screen and look pretty bad, the ones that do look nice don't really fit the theme soooo this is a strange one.
