Welcome to the Unofficial Screenshot Competition This is a fun and friendly alternative to the official Screenshot Competition run by DTG. Here you can share your weekly themed TSC screenshots using any 3rd party / post shot editing etc. creations which are not allowed in the official competition. Rules: TSC only shots allowed. Screenshot should be in some way (can be very tenuous) linked to the theme. Otherwise anything goes. You can enter up to 3 screenshots, posted as separate posts. You can delete and replace if you wish. 3rd party content / Reshades / Reskins etc. are welcomed but are not mandatory. Previous week's winner to decide winner (can't enter themselves). The winner chooses the new theme for next week (and becomes the new judge). The Judge of the week's decision is final. We strongly discourage any negative comment or criticism of another entry by a fellow contributor, this is a light hearted & fun contest! This is a major "we are all friendly" thread and we hope it will always remain so. Please keep chat to an absolute minimum. Entries will close at 12:00 AM AEST on Saturday, July 6th 2024 (3PM GMT on Friday, July 5th 2024) and will be judged by me - PhÜnKî_Rø0sTā In the event of this weeks winner not responding by 12:00 AM AEST Monday, July 8th (3PM GMT on Sunday, July 7th 2024), a new thread will be created using the theme with the highest votes in this weeks poll. The theme for this week is 'Freestyle' Feel free to interpret the theme however you wish. Good luck to all, but most importantly, remember to have fun. (NOTE: Due to the time zone difference I have made these in my local time, as I have a really busy weekend this weekend and will most likely be asleep if I used the usual comp times. Hope this is OK)

Some awesome looking shots everyone! Entries are now officially closed. I will have a peruse through all of them and get back to you in the morning! Stay tuned......
A great selection of shots everyone! Now for the results. And very difficult to pick. First, honorary mentions to the following: A late entry from OldAlaskaGuy who's starting a short line railroad ona a shoestring budget - Very clever use of the pump cart! and bellminsterboy with his shot of the SamT modified Class 395, the first service of the day from Broadstairs, passing the site of the old Rochester station, with Rochester Castle and Cathedral forming a fine backdrop. And indeed it was a fine backdrop. Good job.
3rd place, we have a 3 way tie, and speaking of 3 ways, we have this awesome shot of 3 different types of motive power on the North London & Goblin line, well captured by cscarpenter I'm a railfan obviously with this great shot of the double headed German freight train over the Semmeringbahn and malikrthr with his meet between a MARC MLV II cab car and Amtrak ACS-64 along the Northeast Corridor Congrats!
2nd place was also a tie between: Craigie-C with his shot of 92018 on its final leg to London Euston with the Caledonian sleeper. Great angle! Well done! and Blazin with his shot of the preserved Deutsche Reichsbahn Class 52 on a special freight movement. Great composition and use of shaders. Well done.
Which means our winner for this week is paulc with this outstanding incab shot of 92025 sitting in Beatock up loop waiting for a Voyager to pass on the WCML north route. The colours, angle and contrast settings blew this out of the park - love the colour of the sky! Congrats to all our participants. Over to you paulc!
Congrats paulc on grabbing your wicked cab shot, a worthy winner, and thanks PhÜnKî_Rø0sTā on my podium placing, well appreciated, cheers.
Thanks for the win! I do love Cab shots, shall we have that as the theme for the next comp? I'm currently en route to south wales, just eating at the Severn arms in Penybont for lunch, very nice food before carrying on. I'll post a new comp before the evening is out.
