Hello! I can no longer delete this signal that I accidentally placed. It is grayed out in the list and you cannot click on it. Can someone help me how to get rid of this? Screenshot 2024-07-06 113746.png

I've had this happen before. If memory serves, I think I had to delete the track section it was attached to and then re-lay it.

The stupid thing is: I placed it before the tracks were in place. :-(

Signal views shouldn't be placed without track...but that's besides the point here. Try swapping between modes and see if you can select it. You may have placed the view outside of Network Edit mode.

Oh if you have ribbon mode selected unselect it.

I've tried all modes and it just won't go away. It remains grayed out in the list and cannot be clicked on.

EDIT: I managed it. I simply closed the editor and restarted it and then it went into select mode. Now it's gone. But this only worked after closing and restarting the editor several times. LOL

The editor certainly isn't without its quirks.

In the future, ensure you have the track ready before putting a signal view into your level. Additionally, ensure you are in Network Edit mode when dragging the signal view in.

Thank you. I will make sure. This somehow happened to me at the beginning without tracks, I actually wanted to put something else. Since then I have never been able to click on it again. But somehow while laying the tracks the editor crashed a few times and I restarted it and then it suddenly worked. But at least it's gone now. :)
