Today I'm suggesting a new route for train sim world, Halifax to York and Hull. This line sees services operated by Northern and Trans Pennine Express in the majority however Cross Country pass through aswell as any LNER diversions. This line is local to me and I feel it has a varied service pattern of slow commuters and express lines. With regards to Garforth it could either have the new access for all bridge to be more realistic or the much nicer looking Victorian footbridge removed last year. The stations: Halifax Low Moor Bradford Interchange New Pudsey Bramley Leeds Cross Gates Garforth East Garforth Micklefield And then either: South Milford Selby Brough Hull Paragon Or Church Fenton Ulleskelf York There is also: York to Hull via Sherburn in Elmer calling at all intermediate stations and the dearne valley line from York as far as Sherburn. The trains: Class 158 (Northern Trains) Class 195(Northern Trains) Class 185 (TPE) Services: 1tph York to Leeds class 195 1tph Halifax to Hull class 158 1tph York to Blackpool North (as far as Halifax) class 195 Services from Leeds towards Manchester using the Calder valley line as far as Halifax. All TPE devices from Leeds to Hull and Leeds to Saltburn as far as York operated by class 185. Layers: Class 801 at York, Leeds and Hull. Class 323 could stand in for 331 and 333 units at Leeds as AI. Class 158 and 185 can layer onto ECML Class 185 and 195 layer onto Glossop Line Maps: Licensing: Northern license is already held by DTG and now TPE at owned by the DfT so it should be easier to get. Overall, I think this has all the makings of a great route for TSW and one that appeals to all players especially as there are great opportunities for freight and rail tours.
Good suggestion, I think it would be nice to see both branches as it would give players more service variation.
Yes please this route doesn't go through the pennines (although it does get close to them at halifax)
My bad! I saw the mountain in the background and made the assumption. I guess that's why they say what they say about assuming lol.
