I recently found out that TSW4 is leaving the Xbox game pass on the 31st of July and I don’t know what to do because I’ve had enough of spending ridiculous amounts for routes so I’m going to stop buying dlc but what do I do about the game itself, do I buy it at £23.99 while I can or do I just wait until tsw5 (if that’s even happening) to come to gamepass. I need some advice on what to do in this situation because I’m guessing there are also others in a similar situation to me. Thanks in advance
thats just normal at this point. when TSW3 left gamepass, TSW4 came, and when TSW4 is leaving gamepass, TSW5 is coming. and so it goes on...
One of the several drawbacks of GamePass, I wouldn’t recommend GamePass to begin with I think is the best advice. however seen as that isn’t applicable for yourself from this point I would wait and see what TSW5 is like then either purchase and leave away from GamePass or Purchase TSW4 and leave away from GamePass equally waiting for sale for purchase is also a bonus. just my recommendation on what I would do

£24 is a good price for the base game tbf. I've only been in this situation twice (TSW2020 - with the 2020 routes (LIRR, MSB and NTP), although I owned the game, i only had those through gamepass - and TSW3) so I can't really give much advice here. I would personally take that deal, though. Vorarlberg, ECML and Antelope (meh) are a fairly good trio with more than enough to do. At that price, it's a steal.
If you've paid for them then yes they should but you'll likely have to re-download then when tsw5 releases.
