Welcome to the Unofficial Screenshot Competition
This is a fun and friendly alternative to the official Screenshot Competition run by DTG.
Here you can share your weekly themed TSC screenshots using any 3rd party / post shot editing etc. creations which are not allowed in the official competition.
    Rules:

    • TSC only shots allowed.

    • Screenshot should be in some way (can be very tenuous) linked to the theme. Otherwise anything goes.

    • You can enter up to 3 screenshots, posted as separate posts. You can delete and replace if you wish.

    • 3rd party content / Reshades / Reskins etc. are welcomed but are not mandatory.

    • Previous week's winner to decide winner (can't enter themselves).

    • The winner chooses the new theme for next week (and becomes the new judge).

    • The Judge of the week's decision is final.

    • We strongly discourage any negative comment or criticism of another entry by a fellow contributor, this is a light hearted & fun contest! This is a major "we are all friendly" thread and we hope it will always remain so.

    • Please keep chat to an absolute minimum.

Entries will close at 9PM GMT on Friday, July 26th 2024 and will be judged by me - Craigie-C

In the event of this weeks winner not responding by 17:00 on the 28th July a new thread will be created using the results of this weeks poll.
The theme for this week is "Sporting Venues" (Large or small, any sport, anywhere)

Feel free to interpret the theme however you wish.
Good luck to all, but most importantly, remember to have fun.

Hal O'The Wynd (60116) with an early morning relief express to Leeds passing the Emirates Stadium in 1957 - about 50 years early...(and if you look carefully you might just see the edge of the old Highbury stadium over on the left). At the time this site held the Ashburton Grove waste plant and was the source of the highly noxious trains known as the Ashburton Pullmans - the cause of many a signalman's hasty closure of any open windows as they passed.. British Rail Class 03 11.jpg
    Erm... does this count? ;)
While British Rail Class 03 '03014' gets dirty shunting HAA wagons at Doncaster Works at Doncaster, England in the United Kingdom for maintenance in the wagon workshops; a nice advertisement for sports such as Soccer (or football depending where you live) is displayed on a billboard on the side of an industrial buildings to draw the eye of the common passenger goers who would be getting on and off trains at Doncaster railway station nearby on this bleak Summers morning during 1980.

Motive Power: British Rail Class 03
    Route: Doncaster Works
    Scenario: 2. Wagon Wheels
Enhancements: Armstrong Powerhouse Sky & Weather Enhancement Pack 2.0 + Armstrong Powerhouse Cloud Enhancement Pack, ReShade

May be a bit of a stretch for this theme but definitely not as much compared to my previous submission!
TfL Rail Class 315s '315821' and '315827' form up a double set train forming 8 coaches on a Spring morning driver training service 5Z11 to London Liverpool Street and are seen passing by the rather unique ArcelorMittal Orbit! It is 114 metres (376 ft) tall and is the United Kingdom's largest piece of public art intended to be a permanent lasting legacy of the 2012 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games that took place in London! Aside from looking weird but interesting, it acts as an observation tower which allows visitors to view the whole Olympic Park where the tower is placed between the London Stadium (formerly called Olympic Stadium) and the Aquatics Centre allowing visitors to get a nice top down view of those as well!

Motive Power: British Rail Class 315
Route: Great Eastern Main Line London-Ipswich
Scenario: APC315: 5Z11 10:01 Gidea Park CHS - London Liverpool Street
Enhancements: Armstrong Powerhouse Sky & Weather Enhancement Pack 2.0 + Armstrong Powerhouse Cloud Enhancement Pack(?
), Alan Thomson Sim AP Track Enhancement Textures Pack, Armstrong Powerhouse Signal Enhancement Pack, RW Enhancer 2, ReShade

I am being pedantic here but in hindsight to when I did this scenario many months ago I have realised it probably would've been more prototypical to set the destination board to display "Not in Service" as it was a driver training run; instead of the "London Liverpool St" destination which would be used on a dedicated passenger service!

Also I wish I had not only another entry to add; but an entry or two to add that aren't from the UK to change things up a bit for this UK dominated week but unfortunately I couldn't find any sports related screenshots in my screenshots folder that wasn't from the UK!

EMD E8 6.jpg An incredibly late submission in the USA from me after spotting it on a run today but luckily definitely fits the theme compared to my last two submissions which were stretches to say the least!
Amtrak EMD E8A '208', EMD E8B '373' and EMD E8A '227' form a triple header leading 16 coaches (including the 2 baggage coaches) are spotted headed southbound past a football field operating the Silver Star long distance passenger service soon approaching it's southern terminus at Miami, Florida in the United States of America just after midday during Spring.

Motive Power: EMD E8A, EMD E8B
Route: Miami - West Palm Beach
Scenario: [E8] 02. The Days of Old: Part 2
Enhancements: Armstrong Powerhouse Sky & Weather Enhancement Pack 2.0 + Armstrong Powerhouse Cloud Enhancement Pack, ReShade

    24010_20240721225219_1.png
2nd place and this weeks' runner up is cscarpenter for this terrific illuminated stadium capture.
    20240723165923_1.jpg
and finally Blazin who takes the honour of top podium step for this most unusual of sporting venues the 2012 UK Olympic village.
Quite apt considering this years Olympics has just opened in Paris.

Congratulations to the other winners and thank you very much for 1st place!

May take a bit for the new thread to be up as I’m currently volunteering at a local heritage railway today but it should definitely be up in the next 24 hours or so. Thanks everyone!
