Hello, and Welcome to this route suggestion. today i will be suggesting a brand new northern route which i think would make a nice addition to the route and features a bit of variety to choose from. this route features the line from Manchester to Buxton, and also the line from Manchester to Rose Hill Marple, for the added bonus of a suburban type line, this route will feature the two routes combined into 1. THE BUXTON LINE The Buxton line runs for 19 miles from the major interchange of Manchester Piccadilly to The Foothills of Peak Forest in Buxton. Over the old remnants of the peak forest route (already in game). the route goes through many key stations, including Manchester and Stockport, it also goes through the suburban areas of Manchester and small villages along the peak forest valley THE ROSE HILL MARPLE LINE The rose hill marple line runs for 8 miles to the outer Manchester suburb of Rose Hill Marple, it calls at some stations already seen on the in game Glossop Line. this route would be a branch off the Buxton line, as an added bonus. THE LOCOS: Class 150/2 The Class 150/2 is a familiar loco to TSW, having featured in Rivets West Cornwall Local route, however, that 150/2 in honesty, wasn’t the best loco made, having poorly mixed sounds, and severe inaccuracies, enough said. This version of the 150/2 will have updated sounds, and better overall improvements. Class 195 The Class 195 will be a new loco for this route, this loco is a relatively new loco, being built from 2019 to still being built today. these locos would be running on the Rose Hill Marple line, doing mostly hourly services. LAYERS: Class 323 - Northern - From Glossop Line - Playable Services up to Stockport. Class 390 - Avanti West Coast - From Unnamed WCML Route - Some Playable Services to Stockport but Mostly AI from Piccadilly. Class 158 - East Midlands Railways - Playable Services Up To Stockport. CONCLUSION This lovely route would be a nice addition to the northern side of TSW, and making use of the Manchester Piccadilly already in game. This route would feature a reused loco, most likely redone, with new sounds and improvements, and a new diesel multiple unit for people to play around with, these locos would add huge amounts of layers onto future northern routes. thank you all for reading this.
This would be nice to see as Manchester Piccadilly is quite quiet. This could also potentially lead to a remaster of the Glossop line should this be released as it would have the Avanti services and the additional northern services
