Hi all, I noticed on tv earlier that the leven branch has opened now, with this in mind I was wondering whether there has been any announcements about this? Not been playing or keeping up much recently.
Looking forward to forthcoming Leven extension. Having watched various videos, services on the Fife circle seem to range from a 2 car class 158 to a 6 car class 170. Obviously the time of day may impact the trains used but are services variable or is there a dominant combination?
I don’t use the Fife Circle so much post Covid but it used to be more double sets in the peak hours. The double sets could be 158+158 or 158+170 or 170+170. Occasionally you would even get 158+158+158. The rest of the day it would be quite random but you still got some double sets. While it seemed random I do believe each train was booked for a certain traction, so if you only ever caught the same train it would consistently be the same traction, unless there were failures/ disruption.
