Scr Class 158 Fife Circle

Hi I just purchased the new SCR Class 158 add on and it turns out that it doesn’t have any timetable services for the Fife Circle, can someone explain why this is and will they be added later on. I can see that it comes with 3 scenarios but that’s about it. Can someone please explain

 

I think the services for Fife and meant to come with the new branch line. All the services you can run now are on Edinburgh-Glasgow

Yep, as the articles say, fife circle timetable will be added with Levenmouth

 

Initially upon opening, the service level is one train per hour between Leven and Edinburgh Waverley, calling at Cameron Bridge. Scotrail plans to increase services to two trains per hour in 2025, with one train via Kirkcaldy and along the coast, while the other train will travel via Dunfermline along the inner Fife Circle Line.[20][24]

 

Let’s hope they already implement the 2025 service pattern when they add the branch. Would enable more service variety.

 

How do people rate Fife Circle at the moment I think it needs more work on it

The 158 is great, but the headlight bug inside the cab is annoying.

If you look at the little headlight graphic next to the switch in the cab, the light will often turn red or go off completely.

Not sure if that is an intentional fault, but it's really weird.

 

I don’t know that I’d recommend it until the Leven branch comes out. But I like driving the route, it’s become probably one of my favorites to no-hud for whatever reason.

170 is nice to look out of (has a nice open view, in contrast to all the corridor cabs). Scenery improved with one of the updates. Love early morning runs in a bit of fog and light rain. Sounds below 80 mph are decent enough. No real issues keeping to the timetable.

I mean it’s not spectacular by any means but I find it’s just a pretty comfortable, zen experience and I play it often.

Maybe wait for a good sale and/or for the branch to get an announced date.

 

Ironic that SWR shows the timetable clearer than ScotRail

 

Better or worse than the TSC version, which I'm currently driving with the 68 and Coffins. Cab is fairly quiet, but head out, man does it scream!

 

Playing it using the AP 68, 170 and 158 packs. Especially the AP 158 is fantastic. I think I have most if not all liveries it appeared in.

 

My main issue with the route is the scenery. They improved it a little with the last patch. The Airport isn’t empty anymore. I’d think they will improve it further with the Leven Update.

It still needs a bit more improvement but it isn’t the worst route we have.
