Hello everyone, does anyone know how to build a working turntable, such as the one in the screenshot? I'm not sure about how to lay the tracks for it.

I would make a child BP of one that's in game and see how it's put together and replicate.

I'm sure the tracks will have to be layed in a precise manner, so they allign properly, but given how trickey it can be to have tracks snapping to each other, I'm not willing to lay the track for it untill I know how to do it properly.

I have managed to get as working turntable in my route based on the West Somerset Railway.

The turntables have a blueprint (which defines the model) and a Data Asset which supplies the track link nodes. The Data asset references the blueprint and has some fields where you can select the length and number of nodes you want.

The one I made only needed four tracks but I chose 16 tracks so that I could get the correct angle between the tracks.

Having chosen my turntable and made a child blueprint (of the WSR one) I then made a turntable data asset.
I then spent many happy hours trying to get it to work in game.

Start in Network Edit mode and lay a straight piece of track where the turntable will go. Near the centre use Right mouse and Choose Place Asset . Place the Data Asset on the track - NOT the Blueprint - and use the normal tools to position it as closely as you can on the short length of track.
If it works your turntable should have coloured triangles all around the edge corresponding to the number of branches you chose . I think one is purple which is the "main entrance". You can now delete your short length of track

You now have to lay your tracks out from each node of the turntable to join your network not try to bring the tracks to it.

You can lay one track from the purple triangle "through" the turntable and out the other side which will give a section of track on the turntable.*

Having laid all your tracks it should work BUT I found that with a loco parked on the turntable, the turntable would rotate but the loco and track would stay still and emerge from the side walls of the table as it turned.

In the end it would only work if you delete the track section* across the middle (you may have to get under the ground to select that track section) then the loco will move correctly.

If you need more details let me know. Hopefully this is some help - good luck !
