Ue5 would require everything to be rebuilt according to one of the 3rd party devs. Also it would hit performance so unless dtg implement it properly and optimize it, it would be pointless. The main issue with linking routes together is the gameplay and signals stop working. The route would have to be remade with both in 1. There are probably a lot of other technical reasons too. Plus the eras need to match.
