Issues In Free Roam?

tried to recreate on PC, no issues will try on Series X later.

 

It was on the third rail lines, they were just going to be static stock, I've also had no issues with spawning 313s on other non electric routes.

Aye, sometimes I'll spawn something just to provide Static AI (one of my favourites is spawning a 313 in BR colours at Ormskirk), so it can be a little annoying when something won't spawn for whatever reason.

 

well... I don't know how it went for you, but considering this issue is still in the game I can't imagine it's anything good haha

 

by the way I play Free Roam, on PC, trying to drive an MRCE 182. Power output is constant -20%, and even though the throttle is white in the HUD, nothing happens. this is an issue with multiple trains

 

... and yet ... here we are in the beginning of June 2024. And no change yet, nor any patch update info either.

?Can ANYONE give us any update, as to when it might be fixed,.. this month or next maybe?

Add more signals to the Penzance route, they’re so far apart it’s stopping me spawning. As you can’t spawn a train if another is on the same track section. Between signals.

 

Those signals are based on reality. There huge sections..

 

PC/Steam, Edinburgh Glasgow route, Free Roam, spawn Class 385 SCR, won't move

 

one thing i found in free roam when you do have power but wont move was i reset the MCB. On the 484 and the 72 stock, this worked with some routes i tried..

I've posted this back in June (via DTG Matt) ... so excuse me ... if I'm late on seeing update since then. I stress this issue, cause ... my excitement playing TWS4 (including previous versions) is to experience "spawning a loco" specifically my favorite loco all LIRR trains, in free roam/Sandbox. And actually being able to drive my new spawned train, on any track or direction.

** However,.. my understanding is ... when it comes to a 3rd rail power source (whether it been that a Sim gameplay) .. NO 3rd rail loco, can NOT run on any of the same 3rd rail type. But, ANY diesel loco CAN run on any 3rd rail. But, isn't the same ... if I can't drive/run the same type of train on is same natural 3rd rail environment (smh). So I don't find "my gameplay experience" joyful in seeing, when it was able to run (before in the beginning of the experience of play of free roam/Sandbox mode.

Especially now,.. that "MANY great improvements" have been patched since then,.. BUT, something happened along the way, of implementing improvements of eg; Graphics, PID's, Routes, Frame rate, Sound, Lively, Gameplay Realism, etc. (you get the point). But, as being oldschool ... the old saying goes ... "IF SOMETHING ISN'T BROKE ... THEN IT DOESN'T NEED TO BE FIXED". So, can someone explain, what happened??? My gameplay experience, doesn't experience the small new details ... doesn't play well, if the CORE FUNCTION of being in free form interaction gameplay, isn't enjoyable if I can't run my favorite loco, on is natural 3rd rail track (??). Thank you, for letting me explain and look forward to an answer soon ... Especially after NOW just getting the new LIRR COMUNTTER map at 30% off Summer Sale (Finally Lol).

 

PS5 I’m having an issue where I try to remove my trains path and I’m stuck on the map as if the cursor is not on the window that opens saying do you want to remove the path.
Only thing that works is press PlayStation button and close and restart

 

The problem with this step is that you usually can't get out of the driver's cab because the doors no longer work. This happens to me with every train.

 

The Talent 2 (BR 442) from Cologne cannot be placed on any other route. The screens then remain dark. This also happens in the editor on its own route.

 

Weird. I am trying TSW4 Free Roam on Northern Transpennine route. I can spawn a Class 66 in Manchester Vic or Leeds, say, climb aboard, and even move it ....

But one thing I cannot do is to get the controller to change the signal in my favour so I can get out the platform.

Any ideas ?

 

Is something already signalled into the section you'd be entering?
Which message do you get when contacting the signaller?

 

Open the map after sitting down, click your loco and choose "set path". Without knowing where you'll be going, the signaller cannot give you a route.

At a loss. Half the time i spawn in a loco (usually the sd70) it loadds in with dynamic brake only enabled not run. And wont let me setup and move....throttle stays yellow lije its in setup but says off and wont budge no matter what i do.
Get engine runningnand everything...throttle box stays yellow

 

Ftr sd70 hella broke on sand patch. Always spawning in locked into dynamic setup
