Db Br 218 Substitution

Does the DB BR 218 substitute in the timetable of other routes than Hamburg - Lübeck and Maintalbahn?

You can drive the 218 on 8 routes i think, but you will only see the 218 on the 2 routes mentioned.

 

As an important note: While the BR 218 does sub into other services outside of Hamburg - Lübeck and Maintalbahn, it's not actually supposed to. Using it on services on other routes will result in the door controls being inverted and being unable to stay on time, since those timetables were designed for electric locos.

 

On the DRA route it can be under powered for some freight service and you really need to work it hard. If you have to stop on some of the gradients it will be impossible to restart the train.

Overall really good fun and sounds from trashing the 218.

 

Been ok so far, It does lose time on one of the Passenger runs, but it would in real life. Better than cancelling the train. If you want a high score run dont use it. If you want entertainment then its great.
