Hi. Since some time now, there is an issue on some routes (have not checked all, but it definitely appears on Sherman Hill, Sand Patch Grade and Clinchfield). If you change from the cockpit to external view using R3 (i.e. the right joystick), it is sometimes not possible to return to cockpit view using R3 again. The first click is not registered and sometimes it needs three or four clicks on R3 to get back. Also, on some modern US loco, it is sometimes not possible to select brakes (auto, independent, dynamic) using the square key. There is no indication on the screen which brake is selected. Using the actual lever in the cockpit works. After that, it is sometimes possible to use the square key to select and L1/L2 to set the brakes again. Thanks.
Reinstalled the game and it still persists. Also, when switching to the external camera on the back of the train on Sand Patch Grad, the game creashes now. It crashes. Original Sherman Hill vibes coming up here. Really DTG? Is it getting better or is it getting worse? Will TSW5 remedy this and how much will it cost?
You're not alone. But DTG won. The community grew tired to complain again and again. Same goes for those stupid orange "NEW" banners which won't go away from the GUI. They were yellow in TSW3. Ain't this cute? Maybe they come in green at #5 iteration.
Thanks. Maybe ironing out nagging issues that are there for months or years should be a priority. But maybe that would slow down the pumping out of new paid DLCs and new versions every year.
I just don't get. This seems to be getting worse. Today, I had to press R3 thirteen times to get back to cockpit view. Also, the game seems to have become more stuttering and, when pointing the cursor to a switch, it sometimes moves a few pxels to the left. I am terribly sorry, but this has become unplayable to me.
With the R3 clicking problem I noticed that it's mainly on one of my controllers that has some slight stick drift. My other 3 controllers are mainly OK. TSW4 is very, very sensitive to stick drift inputs. This is not an issue with any other older version of TSW.
Yep, also my experience. This is especially a major pain in the butt when you try to change parameters in the configuration menus, or weather adjustments. The GUI inputs change themselves to other values. Only workaround for that is to use the directional buttons instead.
