Just a general question on how DTG gets licences from operators to brand/make their routes and rolling stock, For example:

•How long does negotiations usually take on average?

•Does DTG talk to the franchise directly or do they sometimes talk to the parent company too?

•What terms are typically given for licensing agreements?

•What type of fees are paid or does the TOC take a share of future revenue?

I'm not sure, but the process and end result is not the same for each liscene they apply for. They definitely won't discuss with us the fees (if any is paid) paid as that would would be something that is between DTG and the Licensee only.

Given the news about SBB, the previous situation with LIRR and the general, “Man from US freight railroad says, “no””, predicament it seems to be getting harder.

I wouldn't blow it out of proportion.

Two instances out of an awful lot of positive licenses.

It's always been a challenging process, and will continue to be so.

    Matt.

Boldly go where no train sim has gone before! (And I’m not going to plug the Bermuda Railway again, ah…).
