This applies to all Mk2 coahces in TSW, NTP, BPB, Scotsman, etc. The sliding doors should not automatically close after opening them. It gets annoying having to constantly use them every time I walk through the train. In real life these doors have no self-closing mechanism and are entirely moved by hand in the same way as BR Mk1 coaching stock. I have no idea why someone at DTG scripted the Mk2 doors to self-close.
Not the external passenger doors. I'm on about the INTERNAL doors that are used to get into the passenger areas from the vestibules.
Out of interest do the Mark One internal saloon doors exhibit the same behaviour. IIRC spring loaded internal doors weren’t introduced until the Mark 2 aircon stock, which needed them to keep the saloon hermetically sealed.
No. Mk1s are fine. It's only NTP, BPB and PBO Mk2s that do it. Also iirc on aircons they are not spring loaded but operated by air piston and pressure plates on the floor in the same way as Mk3 stock. Speaking of which. I wish we did have more BR coaching stock, would love some aircon Mk2s and some proper loco-hauled Mk3s. I bet that we'll only get them by the time TSW 7 comes out after DTG run out of routes to keep recycling existing stock on.
