08 suspension is pretty cool. My own opinion on the 08 is I would like to move a bit faster. Like 50 to 60 MPH faster. Yeah we all know that it a shunter. Just like the 101 expert as you can turn on and off the expert in setting. Can you also do that same exact thing to train say like 08. Where you can turn on something that make it moves as a faster train. Yes again I know it a shunter. But this is where the imagination set in. Free roam would be persistent. What your thoughts. Again this is just my opinion on typically on these type of train. Yes we all know what they are use for. But some time you have to use your imagination to further to make it more interesting.
I'd suggest looking at Derail Valley. Otherwise, and please don't take this the wrong way but you did ask, I think it's a terrible idea. I haveTSW in my library because it drives towards the prototypical end, and I have derail valley in my library for just messing around with a railway. IMHO TSWs branding is based on realism and realistic operation, while DV is based much more on what you're proposing. Hence my suggestion.
That's a really nice response. Thank you. FYI I do have a lot of fun with derail valley. There's nothing wrong with owning different types of games within a genre to scratch various itches. I personally really enjoy the shunting puzzles, but it sounds like you'll enjoy a different aspect of it
Well I like shunting to. I do a lot of shunting in tsw. I just kinda thought I would like to do something different out of the ordinary. I know it was kinda odd bringing that up
try the persistent jobs mod or wait till it becomes part of the basegame. then you will be reminded of your shunting choices every time you return to that industry
The standard tuning for a class 08 is to couple it to a jna wagon. Then you connect the buckeye end with the emergency drawbar to a hst. Then your class 08 is reaching a speed of 125mph. I agree derail valley would be the game you are looking.
