I think we should not complain about the content of the packs or the prices until we know the content of the packs and the prices (from an official source). Not long to wait for the actual information and don’t forget to have your forum outrage bingo card ready.

There will be several of them tomorrow, so you'll have a choice.

 

It will be interesting to see if the Special Edition is like last year, containing a number of older routes for those who are new the game, or will it include newer stuff?

Looking at the roadmap there are 6 DTG routes plus probably 4 loco dlcs coming soon, if all that came bundled in the £110 version then it would be worth the money to those who play all countries.

 

The WCML route alone might make me do that.

 

Prepare yourself for the onslaught of redownloads followed the abandonment of TSW4 stock updates.

 

I dont know why you think the (most likely) two extra locos are going to be repaints of existing ones? A Placeholder as it explains by itself doesnt hint at what type of locos gets introduced. IF the 2 extra locos will be poor repainted versions i will be dissapointed too.
I think i explained good enough why this ISNT a valid comparison so it doesnt make sense that you just say it valid while its not.
The pricing relates to the amount of money the Company wants to make with the product in order to make theyre effort on it worth it.
Microsoft is extremely big and doesnt need to pay its bills of the money it earns from MSFS. DTG meanwhile needs to pay theyre bills from the money TSW earns. Youre pricing argument is also invalid as you compared MSFS standard edition with the Deluxe of Tsw.
If you want all the nice planes and airports then you have to pay 120 Euros and not 70.

Here’s a thought, what if the £110 Deluxe Edition is like a season pass so you get each route that releases in TSW5s life cycle?

 

That might be a valid option if you know which routes are in the TSW5 pipeline and you want them all.

But, as stujoy advises, best to wait 24 hours for the official packs and pricing information before drawing conclusions. Those rumored prices seem a bit left field to me.

Tomorrow's reveal is the most intriguing of any year so far though.

Dun worry you will enjoy the exciting new edition of TSW. pack with a lot of goodies. Like soda pop and candy bars. To make it interesting maybe they will throw in a free ride in a real loco why not. Just head down to dovetail direct free admission no questions ask. Set down relax and enjoy the show. Matt JD and the rest of the crew got this all covered for you. Just open your wallet and be prepared for the interesting treat that in store.

 

Then only thing I can say, is some will like it some will not. Just wait until
3pm. Alot of this stuff people have posted I. This is speculation. Some not but just wait less than 24 hours. Get a cup of tea and some crumpets (Warburtons and not the two legged version).

 

Really only interested in the British stuff but that isn't to say I don't admire at least from a more casual view the work and passion that goes into other country based routes

Here’s my predictions for tomorrow.
1. DTG announce the prices of the deluxe and special editions.
2. Much wailing and gnashing of teeth in the community and shouting about greed in the forums.
3. Everyone buys them anyway.
4. Focus Entertainment’s accountants rub their hands in glee and start issuing their demands for TSW6 next year.

 

5. They announce the next JT route is Preston to Carlisle in the 80’s with tap changer electrics, but TSW5 only…

 

I couldn’t care less if it is tsw5 i’ll buy tsw5 just to get it.

 

At least it'd be worth the price, unlike some other stuff that'd just be a waste of money.

 

Don't forget the stream is not only about TSW, although the majority of it probably will.

But other stuff DTG are publishing as well such as City Transport Tram, the upcoming Roblox and others as well.

So I hope its longer than 30 minutes or else it my be slim pickings in the info department.

And then we wait for the Q&A stream I guess.

That would be worth it imo even if I didn't care for any of the base game routes. Hopefully JT delivers on their words that their route is highly requested and brings something special to the announcements tomorrow.

 

While the probable release of WCML is very interesting to me, I just do not see the American options to be convincing. It will probably be San Bernardino line, which while interesting to some, is not my cup of tea. They need to hook me with a good German or Austrian or insert other county route for me to buy TSW5 without a big discount. ( ofc there needs to be a TSW5 announced, which while probable, there still are compelling arguments for further TSW4 addon-support.)

 

The WCML if true, I'll be disappointed if the abbey flyer isn't included as it's only 6.5 miles from Watford Junction

I just don't see it since its a separate entry on the list to the direct stuff. If it is, then DTG is gonna have an even bigger outrage from the US community.

Id love that. Class 86/87 would be brilliant as theyre some of my favourite locomotives. The sound is just perfect.

 

You have Railpool Vectron too, one of the best modeled and featured locos in the game.
I'd like to see the Austrian roster expanded to include the:
1293 Obb Vectron, 2016 Hercules and 2070 Hector shunter.

 

I’m a bit worried about an eventual TSW 5 coming. Hope not. I’m not sure that I can use it on my PC oldie. But TSW 4 works well.. And what will Just Trains and Thomson Interactive come up with? Curious!

 

Im hoping Just Trains come up with a route on the WCML but north of Preston, I have seen others discussing this. We will just have to wait and see.

Yep. TSW 5 is coming. The Class 350 looks well detailed. I am surprised that they have created the dual voltage 377/2 as the re-used train for the WCML route.

I'd call it SLTHSR, it is not designed to go any quicker than 230 km/h.

 

Fair play, this German route looks ace and with a great collection. I hope it includes the paralell S-Bahn route.
