Conductor Mode gives me a little bit of silver lining on TSW 5 ...

 

So, with the Deluxe edition you used to get: 3 new routes with all-new trains, 2 all-new locos, and an upgraded route.
You now get: 3 new routes with mostly reused trains, 1 all-new loco and 1 reskin, and a copy-pasted route.

And a price increase. Yeah, there's blatantly not enough value to justify it. Oh well.

 

Ok route hoping will be cool

 

So Route Hopping is a little cheating with connecting routes ...

 

So which of these features will take a year to come out I wonder...

Good you can get a free starter back and upgrade to one route, but what if you just want WCML and 390 or just German route and FLIX train? Without any other bloatware?

Also a good way to generate revenue by giving the 350 with WCML then getting the 'most requested' 390 in the Deluxe pack.

At least a free upgrade, the routes included are not so impressive at all, hopefully the six other routes are better. Frankfurt-Fulda is the most interesting one, hopefully something around northeastern Germany still comes. Some of the new features announced would have been called minor changes in other game brands.

 

Deluxe for 390 and Flixtrain

 

This VR thing looks like total cringe and being a Meta Quest Exclusive, a waste of dev resources. No one will play it. No one will care. I mean, just look at the chat 30 seconds after this piece of garbage got announced.


No really, a dead platform exclusive is like, the most moronic waste of investor money I've ever seen.

GWE Remaster sounds fun! I've been playing GWE since literally the day it came out, and it's the DLC that convinced me to buy TSW1, so to see it given a full remaster is great. I hope it will come with the branch lines!
...Oh, and of course, OXFORD - PLEASE!

I don’t know for Xbox and PC but on PlayStation with the PS+ we’ll have a 10% off on every version of the game:

 

Hopefully GWE will be dirt cheap in a PS sale again before the remaster drops. Knew I should have got it at around £5 a few weeks back.

Good decision in my eyes, even tho im feeling like core game things like the new map should be coming with the free update. So be it, you can keep up with TSW without paying a penny.

And tbh, im really exciting about the ICE-T ! FFM will be interesting too see aswell.

 

Quite alright. If you quit huffing concentrated hype, there's actually not much there. Way too many reskins and reused trains, there's Meta-exclusive VR and Roblox games no one asked for, and all the really exciting stuff is in the "Release Date To Be Confirmed" category, if you look at the roadmap.

 

I wanted to not like what they showed. I know that every year we’re taken for a ride by DtG.

But. Colour me actually impressed. The new core features they’re adding to TSW 5 look great. The fact that they’re allowing a free upgrade to 5 if you own an older version is fantastic. Like people cannot complain about this at all.

Looking forwards to the WCML. Wales? I’m sold. Preston to Carlisle over Shap in an 87? Where do I sign up?

Frustrating that they can't implement real life signalling routing decisions. Rigid routing in a timetable mode is very predictable and surprising its still in considering how long this platform has been developed for. Lots of stuff that's about as realistic as star trek spawing from one end of a map to another. We are heading more towards gameplay unfortunately. I guess that's what the crowd want.
