GWE Remaster sounds fun! I've been playing GWE since literally the day it came out, and it's the DLC that convinced me to buy TSW1, so to see it given a full remaster is great. I hope it will come with the branch lines!
...Oh, and of course, OXFORD - PLEASE!

Hopefully GWE will be dirt cheap in a PS sale again before the remaster drops. Knew I should have got it at around £5 a few weeks back.

Quite alright. If you quit huffing concentrated hype, there's actually not much there. Way too many reskins and reused trains, there's Meta-exclusive VR and Roblox games no one asked for, and all the really exciting stuff is in the "Release Date To Be Confirmed" category, if you look at the roadmap.

 

I wanted to not like what they showed. I know that every year we’re taken for a ride by DtG.

But. Colour me actually impressed. The new core features they’re adding to TSW 5 look great. The fact that they’re allowing a free upgrade to 5 if you own an older version is fantastic. Like people cannot complain about this at all.

Frustrating that they can't implement real life signalling routing decisions. Rigid routing in a timetable mode is very predictable and surprising its still in considering how long this platform has been developed for. Lots of stuff that's about as realistic as star trek spawing from one end of a map to another. We are heading more towards gameplay unfortunately. I guess that's what the crowd want.

 

Upcoming US content has never caused such sadness after watching streams. LA - SB is a core route... Why, DTG? Why is this the saddest core route with 0 new trains (repaints and remasters do not count) + Cajon Pass? What have US content fans done wrong to you? Why is the most generous kit always for Germany?

Overall quite pleased with the announcement(s), more for what's coming after TSW5 releases than the initial content. WCML only Euston to MKC not entirely surprising if a tad disappointing as is the decision to paywall the 390 in Deluxe rather than adding it to a Standard Pack purchase. However think there is a good chance I will be going Deluxe, once I've digested the package info a bit more. And DTG have removed at a stroke any whinging about "paid update" by offering free single route starter packs.

Actually there's several old stations under supermarket car parks.

 

We drove through Minehead earlier past the WCR. Went over the railway crossing at the end of the station complex and I caught myself looking up the line thinking "yup, I know where that goes"..
