Hi all, my first post here. Am very pleased with DTG’s announcement, I especially like the flexibility for those not so well off to upgrade to TSW5 core for free. That is a wonderful idea and shows a willingness on their part to cater for their customers. Well done DTG. I’m going to start saving now - but it’s nice to know it’s not so critical as before. Secondly the WCML sounds amazing, and with 2 units just like the old days plus the Pendo as a loco, so looking forward to that. Also Wales coming for the first time, and Shap a 90 mile route with an 87, nice. But I’m equally excited to see the Netherlands arriving into the game, a very refreshing addition along with Japan in time. If I’m restricted financially to starting with the free upgrade, then I shall be playing GWR remaster first for sure. What do you all think? Have a good day.

It was quite good. But rather disappointed in the American content. San Bernardino was announced too early giving the impression it was coming to 4 and there’s only 1 other US route in production.
TBH, I am probably most excited over the upgraded live map- finally! I have been begging for this sort of informative functionality - which TSC has had for years - ever since TSW 2020. And with added fast travel too? Totally worth the price of the TSW5 upgrade. Actually worth more than that considering it's free......
Very. The new routes are good. Welcome to the game Wales and The Netherlands. The new features were a bit meh. I was hoping for random events in Timetable mode. Still missing the ATS route which I'm hoping finally brings East Anglia into TSW.
I see what you’re saying but I do like the idea of 2 different operators on the route which will be more interesting to drive.
I forgot the green Vectron, yes that will bring a splash of much needed alternative colour to German routes!
I actually did not like the new routes. I rather wait for newer routes. The br 193 looks nice but I doubt that it will be different to the TSW 4 DLC one which I already have. Guess i'll be upgrading for free but at least I will be able to buy new DLCs without buying the whole game. Last year I had to buy the whole game just to get the Vectron. Imagine that! Then later I was able to buy the br111 route too
the one we have in the game is an MS Vectron, the new ones however are regular ones with only 2 pantos, where you also can finally switch between the front and back one, I hope! Also of course, the liveries, but most people just use Creators Club anyway...
