the point is this happened a while back and things were mixed up here at the time and that is now completely abused and done as if I am a big liar which is just a bit hypocritical because he doesn't even know the story.

and he himself doesn't even know the difference between a remaster and an extension. he wants all kinds of things that need to be added but that is already clear and will never happen. so he mainly reads his own truth.

 

This would be my suspicion too - the ticket was blue and yellow after all.

Hopefully it'll be a full set, we do have some blue/grey Mk3s coming after all...

“Great Western Express – Remastered in Train Sim World 5

If you thought the West Somerset and Cathcart Circle remasters were blockbusters, you cannot imagine what’s to come with the incredible work by Game Designer Liam to bring you the Great Western Express Remaster!



Our oldest UK route in TSW will soon be catapulted into modern standards; everything from volumetric skies to enhanced visuals, all the way to entirely rebuilt points of interest. A new timetable will be the perfect way to explore this refreshed route, and there may even be some extra surprises to see along the way… 

What’s new for GWE?

• Full route overhaul with ToD 4 lighting 
• New timetable (Great Western Express 2017)
• Conductor mode on the HST/Mk3's and the Class 166
• Updated landscape, scenery, signage, OHLE, signals and track with TSW 5 shadows 
• Updated lighting and weather effects for all GWE and Diesel Legends stock 
• Upgraded both GWE Class 66’s to latest Class 66 specs, including suspension and audio 
• New and rebuilt landmarks, including Southall depot, Old Oak Common and Ealing Broadway 
• Added new suspension physics to all GWE stock and Diesel Legends Class 08, Mk1 and Mk2’s
• So much more!

Each remaster has accompanied some additional experience for you to enjoy the route in new ways, West Somerset came with a Steam Gala timetable, and Cathcart was supported with the release of the ScotRail Class 380. For Great Western Express, Liam is expanding the experience with additional layers and liveries: 

• Back in Blue! The HST and Class 166 will be available in unbranded blue livery, there will also be formations to mimic the Class 165 
• Going Electric! The Class 387 will appear on the route in unbranded green, airport and Gatwick Express liveries, complete with appropriate numbering and making use of the OHLE between Paddington and Hayes & Harlington 
• Under the ground! With kind permission from Rivet Games, the Class 484 will show up too, masquerading as its former life as D78 Stock in an inspired, unbranded livery 

Please note, you will need to own Brighton Main Line and Island Line 2022 for the 387 and 484 liveries respectively – these will be updates to those add-ons which then layer into GWE. Of course, if you’re an existing owner of GWE in previous TSW titles, here’s a reminder that you will be able to access this in Train Sim World 5 using the Free Starter Pack and experience the remastered route with no extra charge!”

What a superb line up. This sounds like the highlights with multiple surprises still to discover. Can't wait for this.

Will the 387 gwrs only do Paddington to Hayes and Harlington platform 5 or will it continue onto somewhere like Slough or Reading?

In 2017, they were all stopping services like the elizabeth line to this day. The 387 gwr doesn't branch off until after reading where it will continue to the likes of Oxford or Didcot parkway

 

I wonder how many more services are being added to the updated timetable for the remaster as at the moment it's quiet

Will the 166 or 165 be able to be coupled to a 158 or 170 now it has the new features?

 

I wonder if the carpet has been removed as one of the differences between a 165 and 166 is the 165 has no carpet whereas the 166 has carpet

 

For the 166 and 165, is there fully working pis?

 

DTG Liam Will the pis be like the Brighton mainline 377 equivalent with the screen scrolling with stations and destination?

 

I mean he got a decent amount of what was on the list confirmed by Liam. And surprisingly we are getting 387’s so I guess it’s possible aswell

 

Are we still gonna have the GWR liveries on the locos we already have?

 

So, will the bear donkey have a different name?

 

DTG Liam , will we finally see the new scoring system and finally get gold/platinum medals for the DLoGW 1*** express services?
It has remained impossible to get higher than bronze until now.

Not sure that the 158 is compatible with the 166. If they are, this is a good suggestion.

 

Hayes or Heathrow Junction will be the most westerly end point as OHLE is patchy at best beyond this.

 

In 2017, the 387s would have been introduced, so it would be good to see platform 5 at Hayes and Harlington being used for the 387 gwr services

 

You Have done an amazing job at this and I'm happy that this has been remastered

 

also when it says brighton mainline does it mean the east coastway 377 or London commuter 387

387, it's the only electrostar on the route

 

The 387 on the route will do the Paddington to Hayes and Harlington platform 5 gwr and the 387 will also do the non-stop ai 387 Heathrow express from Paddington to Heathrow. The gwr will be unbranded, but in the natural gwr green, and the Heathrow express will be the same with its white and purple livery

 

If it was oct 2017 ohle was fully done and Class 800's were in service But I'm impressed with what has been made

 

By the end of 2017 they only ran until Maidenhead. On the 1st of Jan 2018 they started services to Didcot Parkway

I’m talking about the class 387. They didn’t run to Didcot Parkway until 1st Jan 2018.

 

ohhh but then shouldnt there be ohle and reskinned 80x's (I understand if its hard to do)

 

I’m gonna assume they didn’t model the OHLE to Reading because then it starts to become more of a remake than remaster. Especially since throughout 2017 certain scenery might have changed a little. Especially around the crossrail site near Paddington.

 

And why a donkey, rather than a generic non-copyrighted bear?

 

what about a reskin for the ECML 80x

 

They could if there aren’t many differences. But since they didn’t I guess there is a reason. Maybe simply because it’s an 801 and not an 800.

 

The 165 is now the 166 with numbers and formations.

 

I think mixed GWR and FGW formations should be on timetable If possible

Right I actually forgot about that.

 

These makeshift Class 165/1s, like the LU fake D stock (484) and 72 Stock will do as placeholders until somebody is willing to create the correct units in each case. Better something than nothing. Perhaps one of the third party developers want to have a go.

 

Yeah so Couldn't you potentially do it with the 80x

 

But 800s never terminated at Hayes, rather pointless for Intercity type train. The OHLE is very hit and miss West of Hayes because it is based on electrification progress as of 2015, therefore there is no power supply for the IETs.
