Hello all. My first post here after being inactive in TSW for ages (Since TSW2 West Cornwall Local) A route suggestion I have been crying out for since TSW1, Something that passes my now old hometown of Goole (since TSW1 I have moved lol) Sheffield to Scarborough via Goole (for Northern trains) and the Howden branch for Hull trains services as an added bonus but mainly focusing on the northern rail services via Goole! ERA: 2016, End of Circo-Abellio Era, No earlier, don't mind if modern, just prefer the stock and liveries of that era. Stock: Class 158 Northern, Class 142 Pacer Northern, Class 180 Hull trains. DLC stock: Class 170 TPE (I don't know much about TPE of the era so no comment from me in regards to that) Ok, so the route. *Approximately* 125 miles in total including the Howden branch, 75 without it. So for TSW standards VERY long and I would understand if they cut it at Doncaster or removed the Howden/Selby section. STATIONS: ifiak 29 without Howden branch, 33 with it (+4, though I don't know whether they would all be served). Namingly: Sheffield, Meadowhall, Swinton, Mexborough, Coningsbrough, Doncaster (then the line splits off) to have Selby, Wressle, Howden, Eastrington OR Kirk Sandall, Hatfield and Stainforth, Thorne North, Goole. From there Giberdyke, Broomfleet, Brough, Ferriby, Hessle, Hull, Cottingham, Beverley, Arram, Hutton Cranswick, Driffield, Nafferton, Bridlington, Bempton, Hummanby, Filey, Seamer, Scarbrough. Wow, alot of stations, so sorry if I have made any spelling mistakes! TOTAL JOURNEY TIME: Approximately 2:45 total journey time between Sheffield and Scarbrough, but lots of shorter commuter services in-between (Eg Hull to Doncaster or the Hull trains stuff) Why this route? Here is its appeal- It provides something for everyone: For me a path to my past, For commuter drivers A frequent stopping service with jawdropping views, For express Drivers the Hull trains services would appeal, albeit they are bit short. Or even the semi stopping 158s on the Sheffield-Hull services! It would be a revolutionary route for TSW, and I would be exited to see it and drive what as a child I religiously rode on.
Too long. Hull to Doncaster (both are crew change points, moreso Sheffield than Doncaster for drivers though) should be manageable though, if the branch through Goole is included.
