About The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad (reporting mark BO) was the first common carrier railroad and the oldest railroad in the United States. It operated as B&O from 1830 until 1987, when it was merged into the Chessie System; its lines are today controlled by CSX Transportation. The B&O Baldwin, FM, and Alco diesel locomotives would be awesome to see on Sand Patch or maybe a B&O Harper's Ferry Route. Too bad we can't get a B&O 2-8-8-4 EM-1 Yellowstone and other well-known B&O steam power.
