This route could be a successor/precursor of my suggestion Bremen - Hamburg or by itself. This busy route from Hamburg Hbf to Kiel Hbf is 109,9 km (68,3 miles) long (including Hamburg-Altona station). It has the following stations: - Hamburg Hbf** - Hamburg-Dammtor** S Hamburg-Sternschanze S Hamburg-Holstenstraße - (Hamburg-Altona)** S Hamburg-Langenfelde S Hamburg-Stellingen S Hamburg-Eidelstedt S Hamburg-Elbgaustraße S Krupunder S Halstenbek S Thesdorf - Pinneberg - Prisdorf - Tornesch - Elmshorn* - Horst(Holst) - Dauenhof - Wrist* - Brokstedt* - Neumünster** - Einfeld* - Bordesholm* - Flintbek* - Kiel Hbf** The stations with a S before are operated by the S3 (Altona - Pinneberg) & S5 (Main Station - Elbgaustraße) The stations with a * are operated by the RE7/70 (Hamburg Hbf - Kiel Hbf/Flensburg), RE6 (Hamburg-Altona - Elmshorn - Westerland) and the RB61 (Hamburg-Altona - Wrist) The stations with a ** are also operated by the long-distance trains The other stations are operated by the RB61 only The travel time for long-distance trains from Hamburg Hbf to Kiel Hbf is plus-minus 69 minutes The travel time for the RE6 from Hamburg-Altona to Elmshorn is 21 minutes The travel time for the RE7/70 from Hamburg Hbf to Neumünster is 53 minutes The travel time for the RE7/70 from Hamburg Hbf to Kiel Hbf is 75 minutes The travel time for the RB61 from Hamburg Hbf to Elmshorn is 31 minutes The travel time for the RB71 from Hamburg-Altona to Wrist is 39 minutes The travel time for the S3 from Hamburg-Altona to Pinneberg is 24 minutes The travel time for the S5 from Hamburg Hbf to Hamburg-Elbgaustraße is 19 minutes The EC's from Hamburg to København Hovedbanegård could be added with an extra stop in Neumünster. The IC's from Hamburg to Westerland could be added with an extra stop in Elmshorn. The long-distance trains are operated by the BR 401 (included in TSW3), BR 412 (upcoming) and BR 101 (separate add-on). The RE6 could be operated by the BR218 (upcoming) with IC cars. The RE7/70 is operated by the BR 445 Twindexx from DB SH. The RB61 and RB71 are operated by the BR 1429 Flirt 3 from Nordbahn SH. The S-Bahn trains are operated by the BR 474. The RE's and RB's are usually served once an hour. The S3 and S5 are usually served every ten minutes. The S-Bahn uses a 1,2 kV Third-Rail electric system, although the BR 474 can use overhead wires. Its maximum speed is 100 km/h (62 mph) and is controlled by PZB. The mainline has a maximum speed of 160 km/h, controlled by PZB.
Would love to see this route! As you mentioned there are already many trains in tsw that would fit on this route. As 100km+ routes with such many different llines and details (especially in the Area near Hamburg) are very different to build, dtg would probably only build Hamburg-Neumünster. It would be nice if a Flirt 3 or a Twindex would be added, but i think they would use the dostos like always. I hope dtg or a third party will build the 412 in the future. Anyways a good suggestion in my opinion
The BR 412 is already in progress. I missed it too from their last video, but they secretly announced it.
Are you talking about the "Train Sim World: The Ultimate Train Simulator Series" Video? The Br 412 in the background seems to be a filler and there is already a thread in General Discussion about this. I hope it is a teaser but i dont think so
Maybe with the split/extension to Flensburg with the Rendsburg High Bridge as landmark and possible cargo services between Hamburg-Eidelstedt Gbf and Flensburg-Weiche Gbf...cargo service is also possible between Hamburg-Eidelstedt Gbf and Kiel-Meimersdorf Gbf. And with the route switch feature of upcoming TSW5 you could change to Hamburg-Lübeck route.
