I didn't see anything in the video about a 444? Timestamp? I will say though that the 444 is a product of Desiro, and in reference to the new UK loco Matt specifically called it 'desirable'.
I can 100% see the resemblance to the DB BR 440. Unless they accidentally used some TS Classic footage, I’d say we’re in for a nice surprise soon! The DB BR 440 runs on my local line… maybe I’ll get my hopes up just a little bit
Is this the train we are referring to? I can see the resemblance if so, however this train has two sets of doors on each side per car, whereas the BR 440 has just one. The benefit to this trailer being uploaded in 4k is that you can really enhance an image in editing software. Now I could be wrong or I could even be looking at the wrong shot altogether, and please correct me if so. But in this particular shot, I believe you'll find this is a BR 425.
That's a 425, right, but in the screenshots taken in the first post you see a 440 hidden behind the companies emblems. If both trains will appear on TSW4 (or maybe 5) it can be a remaster/upgrade of HMA which is needed for the release of the 420 anyway.
I don't know about you all but once I've read this post yesterday, I thought it was just a early April fool's joke. Note that's what he said in german: "Did DTG ruined the ICE4 and BR440 Alstom Corodia Continental in this YouTube video?" I gave it a check in Google Translate, and although the word "verdorben" (german for "ruined") is falsly translated, I can see that this confusion of translators comes by the fact that "spoil" in english has two different meanings. However, this gives me the impression that OP despite writing in german, isn't a native german speaking person. Now coming back to the actual post. What is "N Transit"? And what has an ICE to do with Transport for London and ScotRail? A community creator is in development of the ICE Velaro D, but became silent since a while. Suspicious.
Nah,it's not N Transit, it's NJ Transit or New Jersey Transit, the TOC that operates on NEC: New York Trenton with the ALP-46 (already in game).
No way people are saying we are getting a desiro because he said ‘desirable’…. How many times do I need to say this.. THERES NO ROUTE FOR THE DESIROS.
I don't believe we're getting a Desiro for one second, I was just pointing out the pattern since a 444 came up. Of course I wrote that comment at 2:30AM and my knackered eyes didn't see the screenshots in the original post, hence I didn't recognise that this thread was in reference to German content. I wouldn't give these shots too much thought. Going by the fact that the images are real life ones and not in-game screenshots (look at the track and ballast and that's clear enough), plus the fact that there's no correlation between the trains being shown and the logos in the forefront, I believe it was more just a case of grabbing generic train stock images to decorate the background for the split seconds those logos were visible.
I can't really decide, if these leaks are genuine or rather a red herring by DTG. The ICE shown in the video is most probably an ICE 4. It has a small hump at the end of the cab car from where on the roof of the entire train is raised. This can only be found on newer models of the ICE family (ICE 3 MS and younger). As the AC unit on the second car is in the middle it is an ICE 4 (BR 412) as the other two candidates (BR 407 and 408) have theirs at the end of the cars above the doors. The ICE 4 make sense for Kassel-Würzburg, as most original ICE 1 services are operated with ICE 4 today. And I don't think we'll get a fitting new route for the ICE 4 in the foreseeable future. But the Coradia Continental (BR 440)? The only two routes where this train is operated are HMA and MSB. Non drivable layers could be added to KWG in Würzburg. But as these addons are from TSW 1 & 2, I doubt that they'll get an addon after this long time. Not if it comes with an update to TSW4 specs. With an update HMA would be a fitting environment for TSG's BR420 which is now in the making for a long time, but for DTG to update an early TSW2 route is rather untypical. And before someone mentions other routes form Wikipedia like HRR: These services use the updated BR1440, which has a completely different cab design and is easily distinguishable from the BR440 seen in the video.
I don’t think DTG would pretend a train is coming when it isn’t ever, not even for April fools, they are rightly serious about such things. I imagine we will see the 2 German loco’s above some point in the near future, could be wrong but one of the pics looks like the ICE 1 but never know if they could throw in the ICE 2 at some point due to their similar appearances.
doubt they would ever do a loco addon without a route for it, their would be no timetable or completely fake.
Yes the screenshot with the TfL Logo should be an ICE1. It has the oval windows of older ICE rolling stock and the roof seems to smooth for an ICE3, as far a I can see. An ICE2 would be nice in the future but it isn't really used on KWG and it's very similar to the ICE1, not really worth a loco DLC. Maybe in future we'll get it included with a route, like Köln-Düsseldorf.
So let me be clear in both pictures is a ICE4 or Baureihe 412... So its strange behind "hidden" this signs.... It could be a teaser..... If you dig deeper and you are make some highly speculate connections.... The Vectron was a question by Siemens to build in the game.... And yes a 412 ICE4 is even a Siemens Mobility train so 1+1 could be 2 but thats my speculation....
Ah, Okay, thanks for the info. I saw that the ALP-46 is bacially the same as the BR 101. Intersting to see german locos used beyond the atlantic ocean. But keeps the question why a BR 440 is behind the NJ Transit logo then? I just checked Wikipedia and as far as I can see the Alstom Coradia Continental is only used in Germany.
Personally, I think there is not a single leak in there regarding upcoming trains. It's obviously a promotional video to get new people into the franchise. The only thing I wonder about is the use of the brand logos, because they couldn't use them if DTG had no licences to use these in a promotional video of theirs. But if they already obtained licenses from the brands in question for either loco or route DLCS in the past, I see no reason to make a hype about it, either. Last but not least, Also take a look at this post by Alex. I mean this video was released before April 1st on their social media channels, but still a concern worth to think about though: "Just before you get any raised eyebrows, this is a very serious RailfanTV post - the week just happens to start on April 1st! That being said, next week we will be sharing some fun posts on our Train Sim World social channels on April 1st which you won't want to miss, and we also will have a Suburban Glasgow feature on Train Simulator Classic for you to catch!"
I first thought it would be a BR 101 or BR 185.5 because you can't clearly see the shape around the headlights, but the headlight above the wind screen is clearly not a like. This is one significant thing of the Vectron. It does not match to a Taurus or even the highly speculated RailJet.
I've looked through the video an compared the loco with other austrian electric locos, which non really seems to fit. But the high third light above the windscreen, the far back side window and the propable posistions of the main lights which can only be seen by a fex pixels lurking above the container I think it's most probably a Vectron in a new livery. I can't find a matching livery for a Vectron, but maybe it's just something that the video creator has made for them self and it slipped through. Both the BR 185 and BR 101 wouldn't really fit, as you can see a dark spot above the windscreen which is probably the spot for the third headlight. Both your suggestions have theirs underneath the windscreen, which whilst being a little covered by the overhead wires, doesn't seem to have a dark or bright (illuminated) spot there.
Seems that symbols and shown locos aren't connected. Just showcasing the licence partners with nice visuals. Still the question remains why DTG took footage of Locos that aren't in the game yet.... They could have take any other dmu in tsw.....
They said they would be teasers this weekend Edit: well tomorrow they said but I doubt theirs much difference, maybe they thought they wouldn’t do a serious teaser on April fools just in case.
The change in roof height in first coach itself. Indicated it to be ICE-3neo? Or I’ve mistaken it to something else?
Don't search any further this is a false lead. If there was something there was a link on april first.... Nothing from that so this is never more than filling pictures.
From the form it looks like a BR218. As it is already confirmed to be in developement, this isn't really a big suprise. Source: https://rail-sim.de/forum/thread/40497-tsg-br-218-in-entwicklung/?postID=827257#post827257
I wouldn't read too much into the promotional video, which is intended to appeal to new people. Nevertheless, an ICE4, a 440 and a 218 can be seen. It should also be noted that these are real shots and not shots from the game. Apparently they took any available videos. Nevertheless, there is a possibility that the vehicles mentioned will exist soon (218 is in development, 440 and ICE4 are also not unrealistic).
