If having a 47/57 pair wasn't quite exciting enough, here's Clan Line departing out on it's way back towards London with the return leg of 'The End of Southern Steam' rail tour.
You guys get armrests and ergonomic seats, all while the most I can hope for is the person sitting in front of me in an Amfleet to not full-send their seat back into my knees lol.
390117 at Berkhamsted this morning running 1A13 from Preston. It ran down the slow line through the station for some reason.
Class 91 at Newark Northgate Friday 2nd August 24. Would have liked a better photo, but I was boarding an Azuma to London and had to be quick. Was pretty impressed with LNER first class on the Azuma.
In a week time I did some train travelling. And covered some actual locations that are in our beloved game. Some by accident (for example a deviation over the Linke Rheinstrecke, because of reconstruction of the schnellfahrstrecke Köln - Frankfurt am Main.) but most of them were intentional. I also visited the DB Museum in Nürnberg and the Bahnpark in Augsburg.
Hello, I have found 2 cab ride videos on Youtube, about routes we have on TSW! 1) Koln to Aachen: By "Railway Rides" channel. This is a brand new one. He makes the run, driving a RE1 (RRX) EMU Note: He also published the "inverse" route, from Aachen to Koln. Link for the first one. 2) Koblenz to Mainz:. In this case is "TrainPilot Jay" channel. It is one year old, so you will not see the older trains we have on the sim. But it will be nice to see which trains are running there nowadays. Second link. Note: The last 5 minutes, mysteriously the video stops. But the time continue running. Then you do not see the train arriving to Mainz Anyway it really worth it! Hopes you liked it! Regards
For you London Underground fans, I found a great video which is a DEV on the Piccadilly Line from Rayners Lane to Cockfosters but rather than a voice over or text commentary, you get a running commentary from the driver himself. There are plenty of other videos on his channel as well.
From last Thursday, railfanning some of the last miles of the old F40's and Gallery Cars, plus whatever else I could find. Amtrak Coast Starlight at San Martin Union Pacific Local operated by a pair of GP60's at Santa Clara F40 at Santa Clara MP36 & Bi Levels at Lawrence Stadler Kiss EMU set in service at Lawrence MP36 Jackie Speier unit at San Jose F40 w/ Gallery Cars at San Jose Amtrak California SC-44 Charger with California Cars, San Jose. Caltrain MP36, Caltrain F40PH, and Amtrak California F59PHI at San Jose
Took this photo at the Bo'ness & Kinniel Railway last week while volunteering. (Not safety critical duties and from a position of safety when no customers were around.)
Back at Glasgow Queen Street waiting for my Class 385 to work! (Also saw a Nova Class 397 at Glasgow Central on my way in)
A Busy evening at Doncaster. My train was a TPX to Cleethorpes to meet my wife and daughter. I was only on the platforms for around 40 minutes. It was a busy evening. The HST "Test" train was an interesting spot.
The Old and New at Colchester. A unusual sight of a Class 43 on tour awaiting departure to the North whilst a Class 745 works in from the North going South. Probably one of my favourite pictures of two fantastic pieces of tech
Was travelling back to New York City on family vacation from Birmingham, Alabama and had a rest stop in Washington, DC's Union Station and took some photos of some Amtrak sets like the Acela and ACS-64's and happen to catch what use to be the ACS-64 #662 TSW2 50 anniversary livery back to it's original design. Taken on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 around 2pm (EST Time) and temperatures at 97F (36c) in Washington, D.C.
And this was taken on Friday, August 23, 2024 heading to Birmingham, AL which was bound to New Orleans on Amtrak Crescent Train 19 in Atlanta's Peachtree Station during a rest stop and crew change:
Would be very awkward for that livery to stay up past TSW2s life, even if it was a stand in heritage unit.
Dang yeah. That's actually annoying. Like Blacknred81 said it wouldn't be very good when 3 games later it still had it. I was planning to go to both NYC and Los Angeles next year with the intent to hopefully see the tsw2 train. Guess I ain't doing that now
Stumbled upon this randomly so here's a slightly old one from my archive (taken in November 2023). Obviously the spot is not publicly accessible but I took it during work so all perfectly legal.
Had a wonderful first-ever visit to the Czech Republic (Czechia) and it's absolutely stunning capital, Prague (also known as Praha). Here are a few of my photos from stations such as Praha hlavni nadrazi hl.n. (Prague Main Station), Praha Masarykovo n. and Praha Liben. The weather was perfect, as illustrated below by the absolutely stunning golden special-liveried Vectron! Enjoy! Praha hlavni nadrazi hl.n Continued...
Well, I am bummed. The Big Boy came through the Chicago area on Monday and I had no idea (and was working in the office anyway but maybe could have finagled something). Not many chances to see that one up close.
My wife and I took a ride down to the Danbury Railway Museum in Connecticut today. The weather was nice and we even rode their yard shuttle out to their operating turntable, as well as to see progress on their recently rescued New York Central S-Motor. Lots of pictures, so I hope you all enjoy. TSW Nathan feel free to use any of these for your editing. I won't spam your thread with all of these lol. Second page incoming...
