I know it is me again. Just want to do something new and see what everyone's service will be on the West Coast Mainline! I will start Avanti 11 car- Wembley Intercity Depot to London Euston! I always liked doing depot services.
I'm going to buy the Suffragette Line, then drive a 710. I don't like all stop services that much, but I do like watching the faster trains whizz by.
For me, it'll probably be a 390 end to end run. Not sure if that'll be into Euston or out of it, but the idea of driving into Euston where I can then turn the train around and run the other way does sound appealing. Also don't know if I'll get a non-stopping service or maybe one of the ones with a few stops. Probably the former so I can really put the 390 through it's paces and have a fiddle with stuff without worrying about stopping for stations for a while lol. Plus, I do enjoy some non-stop high speed running too XD Second to that though will have to be a 350 ofc, but I haven't thought too far ahead for that. I will say though that I always do scenarios first, so while that will be the first services I do, the scenarios will come first.
Very well said mate. So much to do. Going to do tutorial first as It’s a bit of a different train to drive and a bit more complex.
I love the idea of revisiting Bakerloo Line, but this time with a pendolino passing every few minutes! that half hour run above ground will definitely be one of the first services i run
Going to run a BR Class 40 with a rake of Blue/Grey Mk2s from London Euston - Blackpool North in Free roam. Because it's still 1980 in my world.
Ooooh, yeah! Forgot about the tutorials lmao. Honestly, I feel I'd be fine without doing them, but the completionist in me means I do them anyway. So I guess it's tutorials, then scenarios, then services, But yeah, definitely so much to do. WCML isn't the best it can be, has a few issues, but it's definitely not put a damper on the route for me - can't wait.
For full immersion I shall spawn on foot at Euston and wait patiently 90 minutes for a 710 service to enjoy the realistic timetable. /irony
ROFLOL I will probably fire up ETS2 and use a truck as road replacement to Preston, where I’ll wait patiently for Shappie to be released.
After I finish the service at Euston I'll walk to the next Avanti departure and drive that, saving the best till last
Probably a stopping service into Euston from MK and then a service to Watford, assuming there are some running.
Nice, Frequent trains at Milton Keynes as well so no long waits at least! AS long as the timetable is done correctly ofc.
I'll be doing one of the freight runs in the (kind of) new DB 66 that's coming.. I love me some freight action!
I might start in the 710, get a few stations along the line and go on strike like the rest of the timetable.
I’m wondering if there will be some “rusty rails” services to take empty Bakerloo Line trains down to Kilburn High Road for reversal, as per real life. Those services did exist in the recent Bakerloo Line timetable but of course you couldn’t drive them all the way down. I guess not long to wait to find out!
As some others above have mentioned, my first run will also be Preston to Carlisle on the 87 then some heavy thrash diesel on the return trip
For me I will actually be doing Carlisle to Preston as the first run, of course in the 87, then perhaps take a 45 or 47 on the return.
Apologies everyone. Thank you for your replies. I should of been more specific. But I was talking about WCML South Euston to MK.
Taking the class 87 to preston will be my first service. Not gonna spend time on the core wcml with a inaccurate timetable , thats not my thing. (90min gaps, bare static stock..., all that sounds like made by rivet, even if im not 100% sure its the case)
I asked about this and was told these wont be included, nor will any railtours of any kind. I'll be sticking to the original Bakerloo Line till this release meets my expectations for a TSW5 route.
Probably the 390. Am looking forward to one day taking the Class 87 for a run in free roam on a charter train.
