    What year/month version of the Metrolink timetable did you use?

    Yes if it’s a case of vehicles floating or running along with tyres buried in the highway, spawning in and out visibly, doing weird U turns as we saw on Cajon, it won’t be at all convincing.

    I am watching the live stream at present and am absolutely gobsmacked by the level of and attention to detail DTG have input into this route.

    Just watched the bit on the highway cars look like they are floating above the shadows on one side and on the other side the shadows are struggling to stay with the car. Turned it off.

    Is this a Rivet route?

    SBD in various forms has been, for all intents and purposes, done to death (imo). Why not do something different? If you must stay in California, why not BART?

    Where else has the San Bernardino line been done?

    San Bernardino itself is in Cajon Pass but thats not comparable at all.

    So just because it was done to death = rivet route?

    Any issues = rivet route?

    Do you even realize that there are many stations in tsw that other devs have reused and somehow it automatically becomes a rivet route just because they did so?

    They would require the license for bart.

    Well, it sort of fits in with the One Handle trains DTG are so fond of. ;)

    No, it does not. With one or more handles, these trains are still manually controlled. This is what the game is about. I don’t see the value of bringing automated trains to the game.

    One handle as used whimsically does not refer to ATO, but rather the combined power/brake handle on modern trains, together with the fact such traction normally has far in excess power and brake force that you can drive without really thinking about it.

    Yes much as I might decry the plethora of emus in TSW, automated trains would be the nadir of any train sim.
    But, just like automated road vehicles and auto pilot flying machines, I imagine it will happen eventually. It would be rock bottom for me.

    I'm not usually a fan of American stuff but this, along with Antelope Valley, and LIRR have won me over a little bit... The new feautured locomotive that has been rebuilt from the previous edition of it looked superb along with the route itself.

    Morning folks! Hope everyone had a good weekend. As with previous Q+A posts, we've added answers to questions that we've been able to below. As with other previous Q+A threads, this one will be locked. But fear not - if you have a burning question related to San Bernie, you can take a look at our FAQ section here.     • Will Antelope Valley content layer onto San Bernardino?
      • Antelope Valley F125 loco is included in San Bernardino

    • Have the timetables been split as many were on AVL or driveable in one go?
      • Yes, some of the timetable services are split into two.

    • How much car/vehicle traffic will there be on the highway?
      • Just the normal amount.

    • Are the MP36Ph sounds different from Caltrain's MP36PH, horns. And how are the headlights?
      • Yes. They have been improved.

    • Any AI freight representation like in the UP on Mojave subdivision, LATC, Freight passing through El monte heading to and from city of industry yard on the Alhambra sub division?
      • LATC, there are Sherman Hill Union Pacific layers.

    • Will there be any shunting work in depots for those layering freight in from Cajon Pass?
      • Freight and switching services are playable for those that own the Cajon Pass route Add-on.

    • Any interesting service patterns or is it just back and forth runs?
      • Two timetables, weekday timetable and weekend timetable. And in weekend timetable there are race day special services that go to the race track.

    • Are there non-revenue services on the timetable?
      • There are non-revenue services that you can operate.

    • Will there be an update for Antelope Valley after the release of TSW5 so that the MP36ph and the mixed wagons are also available on this Route?
      • Not planned
    • Will the San Bernardino Metrolink traffic be added to CJP version of San Bernardino?
      • Not planned

    • How does the consist randomization work?
      • Trains are made up of a loco, a rotem, “a set of random trailers” and a rotem cab car. And it will pick from rotem trailers, the two types of bilinear trailer, and two types of bilinear ex-cab car randomly.

    • As previously mentioned, when announced that there would be 2 liveries for the bilevels, I along with many others assumed one would be the older white and blue style that exists on the MP36, any reason as to why this livery wasn't also included?
      • We chose the most recent two.

    • The freight layers mentions switching at Kaiser and San Bernardino, is there any services that include the BNSF train that runs from Kaiser to/from Barstow on the Kaiser/SB portion of the route?
      • Yes

    • Does the switching at Kaiser only include yard services, or industry as well?
      • Industry as well

    • Does the layer from SHM offer anything besides subscription of UP locos for BNSF locos where appropriate, as in AVL?
      • Adds UP traffic and is only needed for UP traffic.

    • Is there any AI or static stock from SHM that a player would not have with just CJP only?
      • UP traffic western side of the route

    • Does the route include Redlands which looking at the Metrolink SBO timetable is served by one originating and terminating train each day?
      • No Redlands and no Arrow DMU

    • Any air traffic on the route to spice up the atmosphere?
      • Yes
