Wow this actually looks like a really interesting route! Looks like a good variety of locos and stock as well.

Whilst the operational side looks very interesting, the visuals of the locos and lineside assets appear to be stuck in the era of Rail Simulator and don't stack up well amongst the bright orange ballast textures.

Idk. Is it just me, or does this route look kinda old, like something from around 2010-2011?

I believe that it is based on or around the 80's rather than 2010.

I don't mean the era in which the route is set. I'm talking about the build quality of the route. Low poly track, 2D trees, and an overall lack of fine detailing that you get with more recent releases. It looks like they took an old Workshop or 3rd party route from like 2010-2011 and gave it an official release on Steam. Kinda like they did with the Peterborough-York route.

I think John Murphy was commenting on the quality of the scenery, not the era of the route.....

OOPS- John’ s reply slipped in before mine .....

Okay, sorry I misunderstood. I have seen screenshots on facebook of progress of this route and the build quality looks far better than is shown in this site. Having grown up in this region, I have been looking forward to this for some time but I would agree that the quality of the screenshots here is a little disappointing. Hopefully we will see some more screenshots in due course.

Ah yes, I see the problem.

You need to look at the top comment, below it there's a line that says "Read More". Taking the "mouse" which came with the computer, move it around so you can see the arrow sign. Move the mouse so that the arrow sits over the "Read More" bit, then using your index finger (the one next to your thumb at the end of your arm) tap on the left hand mouse button and the full article will appear on the screen in front of you. More trains there are.

    No need to thank me.
