Hello, machinists! I have graphical glitch, rain drops on my windshield not displayed correctly. When I load a scenario, if it is raining weather, drops are visible, but as soon as I change the camera (keys 2, 3 or other) or use the wipers repeatedly, the wetness disappears and doesn't appear anymore. Graphic preset: high. Can it be fixed?
When your camera moves away from the cab, the rain on the cab is deleted for performance reasons. When the camera moves closer to the cab again, the raindrops restart. Is this the issue you are facing? Furthermore, if you are going fast enough (about 120mph/190kmh) then the rain won't land on the windscreen. This is because the rain effect only exists around a player (like a bubble). This means when the rain spawns above your head, by the time it lands on the train, your cab is already metres away, so no rain will land on it. Is this the issue you are facing?
You mean you are having both issues? Yes. The distance the camera has to go for rain drops to disappear is not far (about 1/3 to 1/2 of the length of a carriage.
Interesting, I have never encountered an issue with the raindrops not restarting before. Normally, if there are no raindrops at all, that's a different issue, but you seem to have encountered an issue where raindrops do land until you move away and come back, after which they don't land. Have you established a way for me to try and recreate this issue? When the rain stopped, were you able to restart it again?
