    Is slack action a thing in tsw?

    I've definitely enjoyed listening to the clanking down the train as couplings pull tight on each heavy freight wagon when setting off.

    Also if you run into parked ones a little too fast, the closest ones definitely move more than the far end as the energy is absorbed through the train. This doesn't happen always, which I'm guessing is the game physics reacting based on weight of wagons and whether brakes are applied.

    Yes there is, but you cannot break the coupler.

    Wasn't this a thing in Train Sim World: CSX Heavy Haul? I don't know because I am basing it off the trailer I saw.

    It's on some wagons.
    On Blackpool Branches you can drive the unfitted 16 ton mineral wagons the class 31, you only have loco brakes and it's very fun to drive. You really need to bunch up the wagons before you attempt to brake to a complete stop.

    The PGA wagons with the class 20 on Tees Valley have similar physics but are fully braked.
