PZB and SIFA sounds are only via the loudspeaker in the controler. Not handy ... Clicking the “Vieuw Screens” is of no use at all! On PS 5 the mouse is not working and with the controller we can not move over the screen! There is also no shortkey for the confirmation of the AFB speed! Played on PS5.
All the screens seemed to be off by default - I'm sorry I didn't get the head code. Had to find the on button for each and turn it on.
The usual Shift+R combo to confirm speed is not present, though I believe this is already known as mentioned by Matt on the stream. Hopefully this can be in the first patch as it is so handy.
The transformer hum noise sometimes just stops working. I find this quite immersion breaking, because when you come to a stop at a station or something, the locomotive is completely silent. The only way to fix this that I've found is to open and close the main circuit breaker when stationary. The Railpool vectron had the same problem. I guess the DB vectron probably has this issue as well, but I haven't checked.
“PZB and SIFA sounds are only via the loudspeaker in the controler” This problem is solved by chosing a different sount export on PS 5 and silincing the controler in “settings-controls-controler settings-Audibleallerts on dualSence”. Now PZB and SIFA is audeble via speaker system!
Still no AFB speed comfirmation shortkey for PS5 controller is a another mark that they don’t care about console experience at all. Same with zoomed cab screens unusable for PS5 as we don’t have mouse! Can’t believe they don’t test their products on consoles too… Edit : Square + D-Pad UP on all Vectrons to confirm AFB speed…
Does this vectron now work with dosto/cabcar and including coach lighting and door controls? Would be cool to release a MRCE livery for that.
This seems to indicate that the train line is off. You can remove the red cross by putting the train line switch (that is already set to "On" by default) to "Start".
Why can't the FlixTrain Vectron not simply use the same color palette for the technical display (dark mode) that is also used on the other displays (and the technical display on the other versions)? As it is, it looks off and is harder to read.. FlixTrain: DB:
First proper Flixtrain Journey run has you getting despatched from Frankfurt against a red signal. Doubt that would happen IRL not to mention you can’t validate a departure time if the train cannot move for a couple of minutes due to a conflicting arriving movement.
Not sure if it's a route or train issue but continuing on with Flixtrain FLX 1818, noticed on arrival at Hanau not a single passenger on the train and no one waiting on the platform. In realiy wouldn't these trains be almost fully sold out? Will see what happens at the next stop. Edit: Well the next station is Fulda so there won't be any more passengers!
Just tried this one. Its quite a fun run, but indeed empty. I saw DTG Alex mention they know of passenger problems. But tagging you as im not sure if its also for the Flixtrain
After playing the FlixTrain Vectron during the early access I have encountered these issues: BR 193 FlixTrain: 1: If you disable the cab the brakes pipe will start filling and your brakes end up disengaging. You end up rolling if you're on a slope. 2: Brake indicators on one of the sides of the loco doesn't work. (This is also an issue with the DB Vectron) 3: In foggy weather there is a phantom wheel below the train. (See image below) ^ Phantom Wheel Talbot Wagons: 1: Handbrake is not possible to use? 2: Brake indicators aren't in the right position so they fly outside (See image below) ^ Brake indicators 3: There is a phantom wheel below the wagon (See image below) ^ Phantom wheel Edit: Services: FLX 1818 and FLX 1242 spawns with 1 wagon outside of platform.
Yes the vectron and its coaches seems rushed like everything else around tsw5. I bought it only for the new german route, which looks decent. Havent tried the uk content. Made a lot of mileage with the expert 101 on Frankfurt - Fulda now which is fun.
In case you didn't already find out: there is a keybinding for confirming AFB speed on PS5: operation-shift (square)+dpad up. It works on the Flixtrain 193. Not sure if it works on the DB and the Railpool one.
yep, at first I was wondering the same, then I tried Train line power ON and that did the trick nice subtle touch, even though it aint an expert line loco
I am unable to complete service FLX 1819, as I am stuck at the red signal #773 because there is a freight train blocking the mainline at Wirtheim + another train waiting at the entry signal into Wirtheim. If I delete both trains (as deleting only the freight train in Wirtheim does absolutely nothing) my signal #773 still stays red even though the line is clear now
A few problems with the Flixtrain cars that I have noticed: -door handle on the outside is incorrectly horizontal (picture from reality in the appendix) -Doors open and close much too slowly -door sound is not correct -brake indicators show permanently released (although brake is applied) -Brake indicator generally buggy (is partially shifted into the air) -Train destination signs have the wrong format (in reality DIN A4) -Train destination signs holder not as in reality (see also picture) there are certainly a few more defects.
just now I noticed sth - I was kind of checking out e-brake - the blended one on the throttle lever... so in the options, well, Funktionen thing, I set the e-brake to 240 kN instead of 150 kN... and there was a section where I had to brake from 160 to 110 kph, so I tried setting the e-brake on the throttle handle to B 100%, and it showed "only" 150 kN... so have I set sth wrong, or does it do 240 kN e-brake only when I engage the train brake with e-brake blended in? I got an unexpected 1000Hz warning, so I put the train brake into Full application, still showed only 150 kN... should I set the 240 kN in the Funktionen BEFORE I activate the cab itself or does it matter at all?
just happened to me now ... it says next service for the freight train is like over 30mins later lol... so I am considering waiting it out and see what happens
heh, I managed to get within like 8 km away from Hanau, and thats where it got freakin stuck both ways ... shame tho as I had quite some fun now that the Fulda LZB section worked as it should :/ oh well, switching to Space Marine II for the rest of the awake time before heading to bed
I play on PS5 and I use the old stye HUD When opening doors on left or right side (doesn't matter which), the doors do open on the correct side, but the HUD icon displays doors are opened on both sides.
PS5, f.e. FLX (1818) Drove few services with Flixtrain, and at every one, I had absolutely no passengers inside coaches. Also nobody entered/left coaches at stops.
DTG: Amtrak long distance trains doesn't make sense in TSW, cause it has too few services for timetables. Also DTG: 6 services for the one and only route is more than enough.
At least it's more than 2 lol. It could also be due to the amount of work necessary. I remember dtg saying that there are a lot of different coaches to model since the same long distance equipment and consist isn't used everywhere.
Not to stray too off topic, but in regards to the variety of Amtrak LD rolling stock (which is numerous), DTG could start with a couple Viewliner I or II variants to add some variety to some of the east coast routes that are present in game. Hell, just a Viewliner baggage and a sleeper car would get you the 448 and 449 LSL trains on the two Boston routes (if they ever get around to doing a P42, which they should before the damn things get phased out in the next few years). Add the dorm and diners and you have the east coast covered. That's only 4 pieces of rolling stock, and the baggage doesn't even need an interior.
Just a general observation on the Talbots- it's nice finally to have m-Wagen in the game. OTOH, I hadn't realized how completely Flix had gutted and rebuilt them The cars modeled in game, anyway, were once Am 203 or Bm 235 compartment cars, as reflected by the off-center connecting doors where the corridors used to run. Also, I am assuming they are now air-conditioned, since all the cyclone ventilators have been removed from the roof.
LZB Ende is completely screwed up. There is no warning alarm, no nothing; LZB just switches off, and unless you're anticipating it dumps you into a ZB (it gives you a brake warning but never applies the brakes coming into the 160)
No thats typical! The Flixtrain is an other type of Vectron with a different Baseline system. So the black screens are not typical the same as the Vectron and the DB version.
for me it worked the last time I played, unless some update screwed it up... will give it a go when I get back from work
If i have read it correct in an other tread cf.green hat written its not the locomotive its the route, Frankfurt Fulda it self and its internal already fixed in a closed version.
So on PS5 I check on the TMS console on the right that AFB is switched on which it appears to be by default. But even when I select Confirm Speed after setting a speed it doesn't seem to work. Is the only way to use the operations shift (square + dpad up) to do the confirmation? Still a fun loco to drive as I don't mind not using AFB/cruise control occasionally to work harder manually keeping to speed!
The Flixtrain Vectron in TSW simulates Software release C, which has a different look (and UI) than Software release E as the DB/Railpool Vectrons simulate (there is also a Software release D that might be familiar from TSC).
I’ve noticed that if I have the power control set to a low percentage that the traction motors repeatedly cut in and out as if the system can’t decide how many to use. It appears that there is no hysteresis in the system. This means that I can’t use gentle acceleration when starting off as I have to apply a greater amount of power to prevent this happening.
I totally appreciate that the different software versions have been implemented, William. But does this really have to result in different "background blues" being used between the technical display and the ETCS screen?
Interesting. I never noticed that but I will take a look. Do you mean this dark greyish blue? If so, absolutely That is how it looks IRL, and is a completely different colour than the baseline screen.
