Now we take a look at East Coastway. Let's begin.... 1. AI BML traffic added at Brighton to better reflect reality. 2. Scenery enhancements across the route. 3. Better sounds and destination display for the Class 377. 4. Add services from London Victoria. 5. Add the Class 442 GatEx. 6. Allow substitution with the Class 377/2 and 387. 7. Update Class 313 to include working DSD. 8. GSM-R on 313, 377 and 387. 9. Upgrade to TOD4 lighting. Hopefully this, and my other lists, will expand well over time.

Literally just finished a run on there. Haven’t played it for about a year and it was a nice change. It really could do with a new lease of life.
Personally, and especially because the BML is rammed, if this was getting a chance at a remaster/2.0 I’d like to see the West Coastway (to Bognor and Littlehampton) included. It’s pretty well requested, uses all the current stock and would allow for some network style running (route hopping ofc) around Brighton!
For me personally, I'll like to have the following: 1. Enhanced upgraded scenery to TSW5 standards. 2. An upgraded timetable with Victoria services from Lewes to Eastbourne added in addition. 3. Upgraded AI Traffic at Brighton Station to include Gatwick Express services by the 387's, Class 700's Representing Thameslink services as well some additional enchantments to the West Coastway AI terminuses. 4. Upgraded sounds to the 377 to London Commuter standards in addition to it's PIS destination display system.
Just a thought, but how about updating the timetable to be in the same period as BML (which I believe is 2017-18 sans the Southeastern diversions). Means the 387 can layer on then, rather than building another train for it. I'd be happy either way though.
313s never had DSD. They only had the GSM-R sounding an alert to tell the driver it was prepping to make an emergency call. Unlike the electrostatic for example, which have a further 30 seconds after the 60 seconds to initiate the call to the Signaller
A comment popped up on Dad Rail’s stream last night that said the BML is to receive an upgrade. News to me.
It’s been too long for me to remember if the CBW had a DSD fuse on it or not… even a year and a half without fixing them and I can’t hardly remember what fuses they had or not haha I’ll have to try and trawl through my phone for old photos!
A remaster is not a rebuild, just a light spruce up of what already exists. Extension, especially on older routes, requires a full rebuild from scratch.
I’ve done some digging through some old photos and it seems there was a vigilance MCB on the cab back wall. Cannot for the life of me remember what its function was, potentially something to do with the Train Wire for brakes but I’m not sure; again, it’s been a long time!
I would support your request, as I do for any interesting route. However, I do not think that my suggestion for a second route for Birmingham, WMR Kidderminster to Stratford Upon Avon has had a single comment. The South East is well provided for, as is Scotland and the North.
This is not so much a suggestion, rather a way to gather all suggestions for items that could be updated should a remaster ever be done on ECW.
Working PIS boards inside the 313 like the 377 ones on BML which says welcome aboard the southern service to...
Things I’d like to see reworked: Speed limit reworked to 20mph leaving lewes station in the Up direction towards Brighton Double sided signs for Lewes station Updated 2024 timetable with 387s running Ore and Eastbourne services, freight to Newhaven marine (can be top and tailed to allow for the single siding that’s in there without having to remodel the track, RHTT services and Light Loco movements for route learning plus Victoria trains running between Lewes and Eastbourne
