Dovetail Games Console Announcements - Compatible Add-ons & Gen8 Class 377/2

Hello everyone,

We've got a couple of important messages for users who are playing Train Sim World 5 on consoles, which we wanted to share ahead of the weekend.

Gen-8 Consoles - Update on the Class 377/2
We’ve seen a few players mention to us that the Class 377/2 isn’t appearing in Timetable Mode for Gen-8 players (Xbox One, PS4) on the West Coast Main Line, and we wanted to take the opportunity to clarify.

The Class 377/2 will not appear in timetable mode for players on Gen-8 consoles – this is due to our continuing efforts to improve performance on the route.

The loco will be available for Gen-8 players to use on Free Roam mode, Livery Designer, Formation Designer, and Scenario Planner.

We erroneously confirmed earlier this week that the Class 377/2 would be available after making the amendments to the timetable, and we apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused.

Compatible Content roll-out – PS4, PS5, Xbox
We’re really happy to announce that the majority of your compatible content for Train Sim World on consoles will be available on Tuesday 17th September, from release at 15:00 UTC / 16:00 BST.

However, some content is still being reviewed by Sony and Microsoft. The team are working with the platforms over the weekend to get these through, but as it stands, these are the add-ons affected:



We will update this table as and when content passes through the certification process, so you’ll know exactly what will and won’t be available at launch.

We would expect content which isn’t available on Day 1 to be available at some point the following week, and we will keep you updated as soon as we know more. Thanks for your patience.

All PlayStation add-ons for both PS4 and PS5 have successfully passed certification, and so we are expecting everything to be available on these platforms from Day 1 (September 17th). We're working with Microsoft to complete the process for the BR Heavy Freight Pack currently, and will update you once we hear more
