Don't you think that in the video Frankfurt looks a bit empty? Maybe it would be necessary to add more static stock. Maybe TGV IA traffic on Frankfurt ?
If im right there should be a layer for the TGV if im right.... I had read something about this TGV thing..... Anybody they can confirm my post here?!
In an interview with Lukas, I saw the layer toggle feature being shown for Frankfurt Fulda and I saw the LGV Med being a selectable layer
I hope RE 5 and the Beacon Vectrons running RE 50 are included. They only showed Flixtrain and DB Vectron, so I´m not very hopeful. Even black unbranded Vectron would be fine for the services.
Well, didnt they only became a thing after 2021? The TSW timetable is set in 2018, I doubt you had them at that time anyway?!
BTW, regarding layers in general, one user posted this on Discord. He noted this down from some stream, apparently...
maybe a layer for a TGV euroduplex i hope that dtg will add a TGV 2n2 3UA and maybe for the new route german Mannheim-Kaiserslautern most of tgv services via forbach and paris est are with tgv and not ICE
Only thing missing from my library is the 218. Might have to throw some more euros DTG's way and pick that up..
https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...-h-f-added-for-mannheim-kaiserslautern.84481/ I make a suggestion on TGV euroduplex moment to add the MS TGV
On TGV layer: The layer is visible in the layer selector (as an AI layer) on release, but hasn't been implemented right now while we focused on playable content. It will show no content at this stage. However, we'll be investigating (no promises!) if we can add this an AI layer in a post-release update.
Imho static stock is a great candidate for toggable layers. Static stocks can really eat performance, on busy stations. Making it toggable would give player the option to prefer performance or visual fidelity.
Traffic wise it actually looks really promising. Dont know how man tph we've seen but i assume its quite a lot, so not empty. Maybe the yards but this might be due to the perspective. And it has to be said, the skyline looks fantastic i think
I counted roughly 100 trains in the hour-long timelapse, so it doesn't look that empty in my opinion. My initial worry for this route was Frankfurt Hbf being a bit empty, but this looks promising.
I noticed one of the passenger trains waiting to go in to Frankfurt for a really long time during the timelapse. Is that normal?
I did not know that... in 2018 they would have not been there. Everything correct. only missing the right dostos and cab cars to make the route perfect.
In other words: you didn't have enough time to implement a timetable that contains at least all services that can be implemented with stock in the game. I for one was missing ICE traffic in the timelapse. We DO have the ICE 3 and they run from Frankfurt to Cologne quite often. It really seems to me that you should reserve way more time for timetable creation. A good and full timetable will likely take a full-time employee 1-2 months continuous working (after the excel sheet is finished). At that time, the route must be implemented so that signalling and rolling stock are available for simulation. My fear is that they don't allow for such time on their routes and hence focus on playable content.
How many services is there including all layers? I have 527 without any layers. Speaking of which, OP is probably on epic (as am I) as layers will first be available tomorrow for us.
