With the new addition of the class 158 is Scottish livery I feel the borders railway would be a great addition to tsw5, the route is about 1 hour long from Edinburgh to tweedbank, and it travels through great scenery, it is served in real life with the class 170 and 158, which all are already in the game and I feel it would fit the game really well.

So long as Rivet have nothing to do with it!

However would be a very linear service, possibly more interesting to do all or part of the Waverley route proper, when it was a through link from Edinburgh to Carlisle.

In fairness, Rivet probably couldn't do much to ruin this. The scenery is rolling hills, with a lot more flatland around Edinburgh. We know they can do stations, the 170 is relatively good and the 158 is good.

I wouldn't mind less distinguished routes like the Borders Railway or the North Berwick Line from them, using existing stock.

So long as nothing new is made.

yeah it would, but it is a regular stopper, most Scottish routes with the exemption of Cathcart circle are quite linear but quite fun, I would still ove to see it though and it would bring more content to the 170 and 158.
