Be interesting to see how they compare to the Ian Allen (Eyein12) versions which are now (like me) quite old.
Wish we also threw in some standard cab GP60s as well, but these are a welcomed addition l, especially with how old EYEINS Ones are.
This looks fairly decent, I'm curious what interesting gimmicks reppo will add (start procedure in the e33 or overheating in the gp20s for example)
The Locomotive was requested by someone for the Train Sim World maybe they will put it in the Cajon Pass Retro Pack for TSW5
I was looking through the screenshots included in the article and noticed every picture showing either qd consists or scenarios (unclear which) showed ABBA consists and as lovely as the music is, that's just not how GP60s tend to run; especially not since the bnsf merger. It might be a good idea to change the consists around a bit to make them more realistic prior to release (if there's still time of course.) Today is certainly not the 1940s when FT ABBA sets were all the rage, and even during the super fleet era that wasn't particularly common, ATSF had three times as many A units as Bs.
I also plan to purchase these they will be at home on Arizona divide Cajon , Raton ,Tehachapi as well i hope they are QD to run any route..also glad they will be available on steam ..
Heck yeah! I love those wide-cab GP60Ms. Plus, the pack includes both ATSF and BNSF GP60Ms and Bs. It's a pity that this pack doesn't include the Spartan Cab Blue/Yellow Warbonnet GP60s. Those should be added in the future, along with BNSF patched, H1, and H3 Swoosh GP60s. BNSF has since rebuilt their GP60Ms into GP60M-3s. Marias Pass is a strange route to run these on, since that is an ex-GN/BN route; although BNSF owns the trackage now, so it makes sense now. The ATSF GP60s would be better suited for Cajon, Tehachapi, or Raton Passes, or the Arizona Divide in my opinion. The BNSF GP60s could also be operated on the Chicago Racetrack, Stevens Pass, BNSF Hi-Line, or Pacific Surfliner routes. Perhaps we could get the GP60 Spartan Cab units soon. Also, a GP60 pack should include SP/SSW, NS, UP, D&RGW, and EMD Demo-liveried units in addition to the ATSF and BNSF units.
When I was at Rochelle, Illinois in 2008 the ex ATSF GP60s (still in silver/red) worked some of the trains heading towards Minneapolis with Seattle bound trains.
