    Hi DTG,
As someone who's been around since the launch of TSW2020 and enjoy trophy hunting I must say....I'm a bit confused with the trophy system since TSW3?!

Sure, in TSW2020 and TSW2 some of the trophies were absolutely over the top, especially for TSW2020 (completing every single timetable for multiple routes; MSB/RT/LIRR & driving trains for thousands of km/miles) and a few for TSW2 (like 10,000 miles with any train) <-- last trophy I lack for platinum! :o

After seeing the trophies in TSW3, TSW4 and TSW5, they are completely the opposite. Now, the trophies are just absolutely basic, not to mention identical in all three base games. Why?

Isn't there some sort of middle ground? Like, instead of having to operate Class 166 for 1660 miles (I did this trophy and can't remember how long it took, but it took quite a while), and BR 143 for 143 km, maybe create a unified number required for most locos so that it is challenging, but not "50-100 hours on this bronze trophy" while "1 hour on this bronze trophy", being same type of trophy; operate a train for a certain distance.

I know it's too late for TSW5. Most of the trophies in TSW2020 and TSW2 are great, these could and should have been kept. It's just that for some trophies there really didn't seem to be any correlation between time spent vs. trophy you got. It just seemed random. Take route tasks. Some of them are absolutely ridiculous to complete unless following a 100% guide and even then it's going to take a few hours. (Dresden - Riesa, just mind boggling) I don't want to think how someone would even bother figuring this stuff out only to get a bronze medal.

Driving a BR 146.2 for 1462km or BR 182 for 1820km only to get a bronze, but then driving a BR 143 for 143km for that same bronze...c'mon! :D:mad: it can't be that difficult to create a trophy system that awards fairly? Can it?

I’m happy that we will now get more than 3 trophies per new content now, but I don’t know if this applies to locos too.
I have no problem with the consistency of the mileage trophies, I understand what you mean though based on trophy value for the X amount of miles, I think it’s just a gimmick though (The 150 drive for 150 miles).
My biggest hindrance is the route collectibles. Trophies should focus on driving rather than exploration. Not saying exploration shouldn’t be a thing, but have that as a leisure for the player to do in their own time. The people like me who want to earn trophies, but have to go on a 2-3 hour stint around a route map following a guide to unlocking 100-125 collectibles isn’t fun at all. I just want to be driving a train.
Not just that, route collectibles are extremely buggy. A few routes in question, WSR, LIRR (original) and the Goblin line for TSW4 all bugged on me. At least with mileage trophies they’re less tedious if they bug out and can be quickly re attempted again.

IMHO The trophy/achievement standard for each route and loco should look like this. This is similar to previous requirements we’ve seen:

    Route:
    • All scenarios completed
    • All training modules completed
    • (Loco) X miles driven
    • X scenario completed
    • Complete 50 or 100 services on X route
    • Complete 20 guard mode services
    • Ride as a passenger for 100 miles
    Loco DLC:
    • Complete Loco training module
    • Complete all loco scenarios
    • Complete 50 or 100 services
    • Complete X amount of miles driven
    • Complete loco X scenario

Something like this, yes! They went from mostly good trophies (with some trophies being way over the top, which hardly no one bothered with), to absolutely complete disregard for trophies, making them as basic as they come. Honestly, I think the trophies in TSW3, 4 and 5, being identical as they are, are the simplest trophies I've ever seen in any game on PS so far. I honestly can't remember seeing a game with trophies this basic. It can't be that difficult to create a standard, such as you propose, and stick with it.
