I own the original Feather River Canyon route so I wonder if this route is worth buying too or it is about the same stuff to do as it is in the original?

Probably since its in sale at $20 and not the default $40.

If you own the original, the enhanced version is worth at most $20. Nothing about operations changes between the two, and you also already own the best engine included with FRCE (U30B).

It's Feather River Canyon Extended btw.

Use the Search function, there's a thread on it. Absolutely worth it imho, as the old DTG one is pretty poor in places.

People have been pleased with it - improved scenery, some scenarios, and of course the extension.
Main thing to add, consider whether you have a massive scenario pool for the old one. For routes where the new version is massively different (Portsmouth) it's okay but you might fill up (burn out) on the old one already. You could also make a point to play the old scenarios but only QD on the new one.

It's worth the $20.00. I definite improvement over the original version. Additional detailing in points of interest.

    Thanks all for the answers.
I will probably buy it then but have to wait until Feather River Canyon Enhanced — Premium Scenario Pack is on sale too to buy that one too.

That is not correct. A broken version of the GP40-2 is included with the FRCE route, and that's where that scenario came from.

Yeah, can't recommend that, even at a 90% discount. Both skins are mediocre (and one you can get for free here: https://sites.google.com/view/train-simulator-mod-archive/clear-tracks/wp-u30b?authuser=0) and all of the scenarios are very straightforward ,boring, and inaccurate.

No, the "Ford Fast" quickdrive was off the GP40 included in the FRCE, and not off the GP40-2 pack one. The GP40-2 pack only has scenarios on the Salt Lake route, and doesn't include the autoracks, those are also from FRCE. Last I checked (which was admittedly before the update) The gyra lights on the GP40-2 were broken.

It is a very nice route, though I never owned the original. Combine with the Alco 424 and you will be having hours of fun. The scenery is quite breathtaking in places.
