I’m not trying to be mean or anything this is my own opinion you guys have your. If TSW DTG was to be graded by gaming company what do you think the percentage would be overall. I mean I know there is so much complaint from here to kingdom come. But honestly what do you guys think of the percentage of DTG would be really. I mean yes they have some flawless games but the outcome would be what guys. I know this SH…….. be having ppl pissed off due to the error bugs you name it. And yet the amount of time to get this done. Gz man i don’t know. Ppl put to much money in this simulator only to feel they got rip off. Dam that hurt. I don’t know men. Ladies and gentlemen. I know some folk stuff work console PC etc. but overall what y’all think men of this company in the percentage would be. Yay or nah.
Bloody hell, that were a real trek to read through mate! I have no idea what you mean by percentage, but I don't think they are a bad company, all things considered, but they do make some rather frustrating decisions and errors (steam, WCCL, etc) which often stick out in my (and I am sure many others') minds more than the positives. In actual fact up to WCCL the quality of their releases has been of a much higher standard, just a shame that WCCL lets them down.
If you're getting at grades in the press from reviews, I remember TSW1 recieved a fairly mixed review from the Daily Mirror mainly cos they simply didn't 'get' it.
I can accept that no problem. Percentage meaning overall on how they do things. to make folk satisfy in the way the company work for the ppl. An unsatisfactory of the ppl will make a person feel uncomfortable and not happy of what they do. But other will feel satisfied. I don’t know
But how long the company at that time been in business before it started to bloom or shutter down the slope.
I'm not sure what you mean by a percentage ericb but generally software development is done following the Pareto Principle as such: 80% of users will benefit from 20% of features. So games companies like any other software company tend to aim at that 20% of features that will be useful to most of their players and will spend less time on the converse set which is that 20% of the users are not happy with the 80% delivery. This translates simply into "make most people happy", it's not likely any software development organisation is ever going to aim at "make everyone happy" as it simply isn't possible. Gaming in particular is subjective. You will for example find around 0.05% of the player base on these forums and a lot of them are moaners because their favourite thing is not in the game. Reality is most of the player bases doesn't even know that thing even exists let alone isn't in the game nor do they care. Paul
But it still base on a percentage or some what a poll. But if they percentage is low or poll it doesn’t matter what you think that out come with be. If it a low percentage of what they putting out you think customers gonna go for it. Just like republicans and democrats. For example if they look good you gonna go for the democrats. But if the republicans outcome look like LOVE I’m gonna skip this. And head to the democrats. There percentage are high in polls
That my opinion on how the out come of that percentage will be or not. You guys have your own opinion like I said nothing wrong with it.
Indeed Eric. It is opinion and as you say we both have them and they are not the same and that is also fine. Games and gaming impacts are such subjective things. Paul
The only thing I can think the OP is on about is the equivalent of the old PC Gamer magazine reviews. Then there was the view that such reviews were always weighted in favour of the product so the staff could keep on getting free copies. There was more than one PC game in the past that got an 85 or 90% score that turned out to be pants. So far as TSW5 is concerned, if I had to give an aggregate score based off the rather pointless core updates and lack of existing bug fixes plus one poor route, one reasonable route and one decent route I would say 66%, or in Amazon terms three *** stars (out of five).
This is what I am saying about a percentage of what you guys think of DTG-TSW making you satisfied or not. Like a graph sorta say
In terms of reviews the only one I've seen is on PushSquare https://www.pushsquare.com/reviews/ps5/train-sim-world-5 who gave it a 7/10. TSW4 sat at 77% on Metacritic, as TSW5 is the same game just with a new number it would probably score overall the same. I'm reminded of the old debate around what is a 'good' 7 and what is a 'bad' 7. A lot of hyped games from major publishers score 7, which is widely seen as the lowest reviewers dare go before the publishers withhold review copies (for example EuroGamer are by far the lowest scorers of games, and Microsoft refused to give them an advanced copy of Starfield). DTG, on the other hand, are a small dev making products for a niche market, so I would think a 7 is a 'good' 7, i.e. if you like that kind of thing you'll have a good time, but it's not going to wow the mainstream.
When DTG gets it right, they do a fantastic job. Unfortunately, they make a lot of bad decisions, make lots of unfathomable mistakes and often ruin what could have been a really great piece of content. This is why I get so frustrated with them. I love Train Sim World, but when we’re constantly taking one step forward and two steps back in a lot of areas, it does make one’s blood boil a bit.
Yeah I know what you mean. Men they made a lot of good content. And yet right now I am playing TSW5 and got booted out to the main menu.
I can honestly say that TSW GAMES get ppl automatically professionally get ppl pissed off.i can understand the situation now.
I can't give DTG an overall score out of 100%, so I'll have to break it down into categories.... DTG developers and staff: 85% DTG third-party content studios: 85% DTG upper management: 30% DTG investors and shareholders: 0% Rivet Games: -40,000,000,000%
I guess it can’t be reason with. I don’t know How about faulted. I was so tempted to play no man sky.
Yeah, I love getting out the old pitch fork to storm the DTG castle with the angry mob, but when DTG do get it right it's like all your birthdays have come at once, nothing like it in the world, you can lose a whole weekend and end up sitting at your desk in the office wondering what just happened to my very short weekend? But when they get it wrong, oh boy do they.
