When approaching schluchtern heading Frankfurt bound there seems to be a random PZB magnet before the speed reduction to 110kph. I dont have chance to even acknowledge this as it applies the emergency brake right as soon as you pass over it
This is not only related to the Vectron, it happens on the ICE T, too. Seems that on some occasions a magnet is active there, not sure if the 1000 or 500 Hz one. .
do you have track monitor on? if there is an upcoming red, there might be a yellow somewhere around that 110 kph restriction, in which case you should already be slowing down from what, like 160? ... so there might be an active magnet there
What you experience is 100% intended. It should be the speed supervision magnet that detects how fast you are. Those are commonly found before a speed restriction is in place to track that you're actually slowing down fast enough. This one checks for a speed of around 120 kph if I remember it correctly, so if you were just above that you would get an emergency break as penalty.
IRL, the Geschwindigkeitsprüfeinrichtung in front of a signaled 110kph is positioned 405m before the "11" signal and active (you get Zwangsbremsung) if you're going faster than 130kph (+/- 5kph can be permitted installations too) above it. It's intended and realistic.
Definetly realistic, above 100kmh restrictions, the 1000hz magnet becomes pointless, but speed checking mechanism if the brake curve happens, is an absolute requirement. Also in TSW the protected point seems to be at the mainsignal, where in reality the protected points are behind the signal (Durchrutschweg). The signal is less important than the object / speedrestriction you want to protect from overspeed. Thats why brake applications caused by indusi can let you spad, the distance behind the signal until whatever comes (switch, speed restriction etc.) Is the relevant part.
