I had the same experience with the last of the FLX timetable runs from Fulda to Frankfurt in the evening. The root cause here seems to be an overly long freight train on the siding in Wirtheim that sticks out into the main track.
I wonder, I play on PS4 and I drove the ICE T from Frankfurt to Fulda, twice and it crashed every time I was around Frankfurt Süd, I wonder if this also happens to other people?
Also, does the route often Lag and stutter, sometimes because I am on 8th Gen consoles, and also could the crashing be made worse if I would have the Flixtrain add-on installed?
Can we get some reduced quality for tracks and wires for the route parts that belongs to AI only? Maybe it will gives us some FPS at Frankfurt area.
PS5 console Maybe this form of track with such demanding stations and traffic is simply too big a bite for TSW ... maybe even Frankfurt in itself might not be a problem, but it feels like the trains are on too long a section and on top of that, the new LiveMap, that could be a problem ... just a thought Anyway, it tested the limits of what was possible
It sure if this is a bug, but I spawned at Fulda and there were two identical services heading to Hamburg at the same time. They both moved off together (although obviously one got ahead whilst the other was held further down the line). is this a timetable error, or do these two identical services really exist? (Xbox One X)
After some testing it appears that this is just an optical illusion that occurs when travelling in the opposite direction to the planes. I now believe the planes to be working just fine.
As addition to this, wipers work when i click on them, doors also, its the keyboard controls that not work (often)
Ive found some errors in scenery. Stopping points are also weird for some services at least on Frankfurt Main Hbf.
PS5 console Compared to Vectron Railpool and Flixtrain, it is not possible to confirm the SIFA with a circular button at DB Red Vectron before the sound warning sign is activated. This is unfortunate and I do not understand that Railpool and Flix work correctly and DB versions not ....
On the Railpool Vectron the AFB speed changes can be confirmed with Shift+R whilst the same has to confirmed with control+R on the Flixtrain Version. Why this inconstancy? In my case it means that I can confirm it using my small chat pad, connected to my Xbox Controller, for the Railpool version, but not on the Flixtrain one, because the chat pad doesn’t have a CTRL Button. Weird.
PS5 - Vectron Venture Journey mode: Looks like all Journey timetable rides spawns with everything else but no DB Vectron. Second and third mission spawn you with BR 185 instead of DB Vectron, even sometimes that old one with no suspension. Tried to reload like 5 times, result is always same, had to skip this. Same thing in Part 2 (third) mission. In fourth mission, only The Railpool Vectron spaws…
Finally having spent a bit more time on the route, I have to agree with the performance concerns on PS5. Driving the 103 railtour towards Frankfurt, FPS dropped all the way down to ~15 at one point. Credit where credit is due though, the scenery and especially greenery looks very nice.
PS4 Pro Ran the RE50 (4507) service in the 114. All going ok heading to Frankfurt but I anticipated the game may crash going into Frankfurt Main so I saved at Frankfurt Sud. As I predicted it crashed 1.2km away but I thought no problem as I had saved I will go back and try again from Frankfurt Sud. However when I went back in I could not get the wipers to switch on while it was raining, the Sifa and PZB noises did not sound, and every time I changed speed select the driver assist kept saying I needed to switch on battery power. So it ended up being quite a frustrating end to a long drive.
Just had my first UE4 crash while arriving at the Offenbach Ost in BR423. I was less than 100m from coming to a stop (at the marker) when the screen froze and the game crashed. Service S9 (35972), the last one on the 'People Mover' chapter in Journey Mode. No mods or edits, just stock TSW5 with a bunch of DLC (PC/Steam).
Not only this, but the problem is also the blurred textures and it is starting to show on other maps, which seems to me to be a problem with the TSW5 core ...
I just had the same thing happen on service FLX 1242 Basel Bad Bf to Berlin Hbf. LZB was active waaay beyond Gelnhausen. I stopped the train, disabled PZB/LZB and reenabled it and then if was fine; LZB did not reactivate.
A few more items that I have discovered (part 1): An Early morning journey showing sunrise/ sunlight appearing in an area where the light should be blocked by the embankment. Glitch in the matrix near Kilometre post 109 0 - Fulda Gbf Missing sleepers or surface texture at the roundhouse in Hanau
A few more items that I have discovered (part 2): Glitch in the matrix again... this time at Gelnhausen Back to the roundhouses at Hanau. The nearby road is missing the crossing barriers and associated signage. Also, this particular crossing is not working properly. The lights do flash when the trains are due/ travel through, however when the crossing opens it immediately drops the barriers back down, when no train is within the detection area.
I have been working through the collectables for this route, I have already spotted one that cannot be obtained (see earlier post) however, I am at Fulda and there do not appear to be any collectables at all on this station. Has anyone found any there, because I suspect that the missing items are the ones that I need to complete the collection...
Have to say I share the negative thoughts about the 114 too. To be fair, when the whole route was announced etc. I was excited for the 114 as its basically a 143 and I always liked the 143 but was a little disappointed with the TSW version it got and I thought finally the 143/114 would get a nice update and be brought up to standards. Well well well... Don't think I have to elaborate too much on whats wrong with it, as this has been mentioned here plenty, but yeah. On the plus side, I really like the new 146 with the new horn sounds and to me the physics also feel slightly better. I just wish it would simply replace all other 146 variants lmao
Many freight trains have a wrong stopping/Starting point in Wirtheim, at the end of the platform which makes them block the whole line towards frankfurt
On Xbox Series X, the training scenario for the BR114 has some quirks. The "turn on the headlights" instruction has you turn them on in the rear cab. The voice-over instructs you to apply speed to 100KMH from a dead stop to "get moving", instead of gradually having you apply power. While approaching the station stop, the game really wants to let you know you can use LT to brake, so much so that it stacks the instruction twice.
For the 423, I can't climb up onto the train via the passenger doors. When I want to be a passenger, I have to climb via the cab as it won't allow me to climb up via the cab doors. Could this be sorted. Also, in relation to the 423's, I have been on them and the platform is level to the train. At stations such as Fulda and Frankfurt hbf, it isn't level.
The DABpbzfa 767.1 constantly plays a hissing sound whenever brakes are applied (I mean brakes are on, not just when you move the lever). I've never noticed this before in any other variant of the 766/767... is this correct?
Ok so I finally managed to complete the “Pull!” scenario, it turns out the “brake key” was on, on the cab car, once turned off I was finally able to slow down the train.
PS5 console I installed an update a while ago, and unfortunately, when arriving at Frankfurt Hbf, when entering under the covered part of the platform, both the textures on the dashboard of the locomotive and the external textures on the set were blurred again
had my first game crash on this route whilst driving the Flixtrain Vectron from Frankfurt to Fulda on PS5. Got about 10km out of Frankfurt and it just froze and crashed on me. I've driven the route a couple of times in the ICE-T and not had a game crash.
I just tried it myself, the position of the brake key didn't seem to have any effect. No brakes when trying to stop at the first station.
PS5 After yesterday mini-patch, the View Screen Zoom function which did not work from release of TSW5 - now works finaly! And it’s a great functionality, I’ve just tried in BR 411 but I believe it would work in same good way in every loco. Thank you for reminding PS5 players too and for additionaly fixing this function for us.
Back to BR 411 cab lighting case. I still think that lighting inside cab should not be as bright as it is and the screens reflections should be decreased. All the time, even in heavy clouds weather the displays are barely readable due huge gloss reflection. Ingame - even with Blind at 30% the whole desk is over-illuminated, barely can see what is on displays Real life Fuhrerstand lighting example - hoop at the top of desk that shadows displays, displays are clearly readable …and tablet with Ebula and driving instructions in the middle is missing too.. /s
Running service ICE1652 and on approach to Bad Soden-Salmünster, I had a green main signal (approx 63km post) which triggered a 1000Hz acknowledgement even though it was green with no distant signal. Not sure if this crept in in the last update as I don't remember it happening before.
Just tried this signal in free roam and did not have an issue. Are you talking about the main signal or the advanced signal, which is behind it? Regardless, both have not caused any trouble for me...
But I found another issue with this. The advanced signal at km62.6 has a combined 1000Hz / 2000Hz magnet installed. This in itself is already wrong, but, even worse, if the protected main signal (ASig from Bad-Soden Salmünster) is red, the advanced signal triggers the 2000Hz magnet and stops the train immediately...
One minor point/question: why do we not get Hamburg Süd containers on FTF? So far, I have only seen ONE and Hapag-Lloyd.
I already mentioned it here a while ago, without a response ... maybe due to optimization, but remember, there are always a couple of empty cars ... it could also be a display error
I just started running the service again to try and make sure it was that one, but I've just had a random Zwangsbremsung further back, around 98.2km (I only saw a ground signal)! I have no idea what's going on here. I'll restart once again...
