I presume that the reskinned 484 will substitute for D stock on District Line at Ealing Broadway and H & C between Westbourne Park and Paddington, correct me if I am wrong. I wasn't aware that 72 stock would become Central Line AI, previously it was substitute static stock at Ealing Broadway. It will certainly be much busier than before if this is the case.
As for the Heathrow Connect 360/2s, the closest we currently have are the new 350/1 which are also from the Siemens Desiro family.

    Spot on.
That looks like Heathrow Express to me, and we are getting that.

Yep. Every Underground line on GWE will have traffic with the correct car numbers and as close to the real stock as possible. District/Circle/Hammersmith has the 484 in a 6 car formation to represent the D stock while Central/Piccadilly has the 72 stock in matching car lengths to the real train.

I am looking forward to this remaster almost as much as I am looking forward to WCML Shap and the Cardiff lines being released. It is a route I would have uninstalled if the class 166 didn't appear on BML as the timetable was very lacklustre and didn't represent the route properly. Now it will come to life and probably be in my top ten routes.

I personally always loved it, especially being a local, but it was always lacklustre at best. Now we simply need a few more locomotive dlcs to fill it out. If any of the developers could make the Class 59/0 & /1, 60, 165/1, 180, 332 and 360/2 then we could finally have a super busy route as it was during 2015. I would personally not care too much if these were unbranded as necessary.

I wonder if any further items from my masterlist were added since Liam last confirmed some of them?
I am guessing work was still in progress when he posted his reply.

The 165's probably wont be added due to licencing thats why they changed numbering and coaches from the 166 but definitely the rest
The class 360 and 332 could be in the "airport express pack" and the 180 as a free update(unless there is reason for another addon) the class 59 and 66 could have a "freight pack" and be used on multiple route including the GWE

I kind of like the 387 hx personally, being on the 332 and the 387, I think the 387 hx really suits the route

The 332 was the correct class for 2015. 387s came later.

The class 387 is an existing unit being added as a layer. An 800 would be a new unit to the game as DLC.

    "Just change the stats"?

You are aware the 801 is an EMU and we're on about a route it'll spend most of its time outside of the knitting, yes?

    And already exists.

The 800 is an entirely new train.

Not what I meant, In 2017 (when the route is now going to be set) IET's where running and TSW doesn't have gwr licensing so they can't make a new 800 or 802 so the most they can do is reskin and edit files to the 801 and unbrand it like they did Liam is doing with the 387's

I have no idea what you mean by stats either. What I do know is that the 801 and 800 are different classes of train, the former being an EMU and the latter a Bi-mode, so they can't just reskin an 801 in green and put it on 800 and 802 services.

It's one of the 80x's in tsw are fitted with a diesel engine why don't use that one on the route?

The diesel mode on the 801s isn't used in regular service.

I would love much more loco DLC in general, as we now have people creating custom timetables for all kinds of routes and they could do amazing stuff with new rolling stock packs.

Does the diesel engine even work in the sim? I remember Matt saying it was the sticking point that made them do an 801 instead of an 800.

It's had a few timetable upgrades every now and again but the only time I'd go on it is to try and get the 1660 miles driven trophy for the 166....I still haven't gotten anywhere close to getting it .

But I'm so looking forward to this remaster.

That's because the 801 in TSW only has the emergency use diesel engines for it to limp home our out of trouble if the OHLE fails.

The sticking point was that LNER wasn't sure what would be in the depot at the time. They wantwd an 800, but had to make do with an 801 because that was what was available.

In any event, the route (OG and remastered) is set in 2016-17, when the OLE was being installed but hadn't been finished, and so the 800s were not in service yet. You can have 800s or HSTs; pick one, you can't have both.

To be fair, 4 pages is far too much reading to reasonably expect someone to do on a matter like this.

Was there not even a transition period where you could have seen HSTs and 800s side by side?

Yes, there was overlap between October 2017 when the first 800s entered service, and mid-2019 when the last HSTs were withdrawn; but that happened after the completion of the OHLE

Ah well. It would be nice to have. Maybe as another section of the Great Western Mainline.

Sounds like a suggestion to me now...

By the way, in case I haven't mentioned it yet, the remaster is looking AWESOME! I can't wait!
