Due to ongoing construction of the snow sheds over Donner Pass, Amtrak Train #6, headed by two F40PHs, is instead passing through the Feather River Canyon en route to Chicago.
The Bessemer & Lake Erie, while primarily designed for freight traffic, passenger trains also used the line in its heyday. Here, four of the railroad's mighty 2-10-2s pass each other, two with ore for the steel mills, one with the empties, and one with a 'deadhead' passenger move back the the yard.

This locomotive is an American locomotive. They were built by a number of American manufactures and hundreds were deployed in Europe during WWII. So it is partially an American passenger train.
Ultimately it's for DTG to decide what "American Passenger Services" means, but I'd be surprised if an American freight loco pulling British coaches on a British route is what they had in mind. Good luck though, they're nice screenshots.
Travelling through remote and beautiful Californian mountains the California Zephyr is typical of long distance western US services. EMD FP7 on the Feather River Canyon route.

Fantastic week guys! Looks like we've got a double winner for both TS19 and TSW contests! Love the capture of the Californian Zephyr, almost looks like a model train If only it wasn't for the silly frame - perhaps we could remove it for this particular week?..
