The first London Underground Line was added in TSW 2 in 2020, it's been 4 years without any news abt lines that might get added into the game (not including london overground which I really enjoy). Honestly I don't completely understand why in 4 years time not a single new route of L.U. was added, neither to tsw 4 nor 5. I do realise that its a long-term hard work to create route like that, however if we look at basic stats, as soon as Bakerloo Line was added - there was a massive interest shown from both sides: average gamers and content makers as the graphics that game has and the realistic set up game presents, it's literally the only simulator of Bakerloo line with such graphics and realistic set up. As for me if Dovetail would add another L.U. line in TSW 6/7 at first, it would bring massive interest as playing on the same line, for 5 or even 6 years with no updates pretty boring. Personally my opinion bakerloo line made by dovetail is a masterpiece that I really enjoy playing in. I also realise that the system with many destinations that L.U. lines have it might be hard to create easy in use and detailed line such as Northern Line, District and others.. however I dont understand what might be the problem abt adding lines such as Jubilee or Picadilly, and yes, I completely agree that it'll be way harder to develop them as Picadilly is tricky and long one and Jubilee has platform doors between Westminster and North Greenwich, but in this long period of time I think its not just me interested to get some updates on L.U. lines. If we would focus about what advantages does adding of new L.U. line may bring to game, the advantages are: New step in developing of metro/subway systems in the game, high interest from sides of gamers and content makers, high interest of people interested in BTS, another step into adding more BTS into TSW. Disadvantages: expenses to create detailed line like Jubilee or long line like Picadilly, long-term development of one, + couple of gbs just due to high detailed stations. Now if we talk abt Picadilly line and terminals, as for me it's possible to just make them as regular stops with no exits or to much of a details. If again we talking about Picadilly line then how to choose what's train's destination, well as for me as simple as it's done while choosing bakerloo line, just create different boxes with time tables (basically same system as it's at the Bakerloo line but just different directions). Picadilly line suggestion: 1. Picadilly line route and stations Uxbridge - Cockfosters (1 hr 40 mins) Uxbridge Hillingdon Ickenham Ruislip Ruislip Manor Eastcote Rayners Lane South Harrow Sudbury Hill Sudbury Town Alperton Park Royal North Ealing Ealing Common Acton Town Turnham Green Hammersmith Barons Court Earl's Court Gloucester Road South Kensington Knightsbridge Hyde Park Corner Green Park Piccadilly Circus Leicester Square Covent Garden Russel Square King's Cross St. Pancras Caledonian Road Holloway Road Arsenal Finsbury Park Manor House Turnpike Lane Wood Green Bounds Green Arnos Grove Southgate Oakwood Cockfosters (P.S. it does seem like a big list and honestly it is, however most of this route is below ground) Heathrow Terminal 4 - Cockfosters (1 hr 30 mins) Heathrow Terminal 4 Heathrow Terminal 2 & 3 Hatton Cross Hounslow West Hounslow Central Hounslow East Osterley Boston Manor Northfields South Ealing Acton Town Turnham Green Hammersmith Barons Court Earl's Court Gloucester Road South Kensington Knightsbridge Hyde Park Corner Green Park Piccadilly Circus Leicester Square Covent Garden Russel Square King's Cross St. Pancras Caledonian Road Holloway Road Arsenal Finsbury Park Manor House Turnpike Lane Wood Green Bounds Green Arnos Grove Southgate Oakwood Cockfosters (P.S. if destination Terminal 5 then simply same stations just Terminal 5 instead of Terminal 4) As I already said - Picadilly line is really long as it is one of the longest lines in London Transport System and it definitely will take long time and lots of resources and people to create one, but honestly, it's been 4 years with no updates about Tube, so I think that it is worth waiting another year or two but to get a really interesting tube line. 2. Picadilly Line Trains Picadilly Line 1973 Stock (P.S. interesting thing about trains, as there is a new train upcoming in 2025, and it will take some time to fill the line with new train, Dovetails might add choice between Stock 1973 or new Picadilly Line 2025 train which might get added in 2026 into TSW 7, if we will get one) Picadilly Line 2025 Stock Jubilee Line suggestion: 1. Jubilee Line route and stations Stanmore - Stratford (57 mins) Stanmore Canons Park Queensbury Kingsbury Wembley Park Neasden Dollis Hill Willesden Green Kilburn West Hampstead Finchley Road Swiss Cottage St. John's Wood Baker Street Bond Street Green Park Westminster Waterloo Southwark London Bridge Bermondsey Canada Water Canary Wharf North Greenwich Canning Town West Ham Stratford (P.S. the platform doors as I undestand is one of the biggest struggles of how to make one, and if we talk about adding it into a future TSW games I think it does need to be taken seriously) 2. Jubilee Line train Jubilee Line Stock 1996 _____________________________________________________________________________ So let's talk about features that might get added into the game if new tube lines would get added. At first really interesting thing as if u traveling across the tube and investigating different locations, at stations like Picadilly Circus, Baker Street, Waterloo where you in passenger mode will be able to move from let's say Bakerloo Line to Jubilee while being at Baker St. As for me it really gives good features which haven't been added into game. Another one is to add more details on maps across the stations where now you will be able to see at what station and to what line you'll be able to get change. (P.S. Picture of what im talking abt below) As for me, I brough this 2 lines just as example to what some part of community really need. And personally I dont care what line will get added into the game. Thank you for reading my post, if there are any additional questions or suggestions , it'll be nice to see them below. Take care!
I'd love to see the Piccadilly Line! I'd also love to see a decent set of drivers controls what we can buy! Surely somebody must be on to this?
Best suggestion I’ve seen in a while, would absolutely love to see another LU route in TSW as in my opinion it’s long overdue, Bakerloo Line is the route that got me playing TSW in the first place, and is fast approaching five years old now with no new similar content. Extra credit for suggesting the Piccadilly Line too, I think this would be one of the best lines experience wise along with the Metropolitan Line.
Appreciate it. Honestly I'd be glad to see any underground line, metropolitan is also pretty long but a totally agree that these lines fit in the game perfectly
