The timetable could do with a revamp (Though I understand the upcoming remaster I think will bring a new timetable), but aside from that I love it, 31s and 101s on semi fast, 45s,westerns and 47s on Expresses and freights. Fantastic.

It is very good if you can take the slight incongruity of the classic diesels running on 2017 infrastructure. Probably why many of the Journey elements are set at night. Also slightly incongruous the use of Class 101’s on the local services. Reading Depot did have a small allocation of these in the late 80’s but primarily to supplement the 119’s on the North Downs service.

Would have been better if they had made a Class 117 to go with the pack and the icing on the cake a Class 50.

However heading out of Paddington with a Wizzo and running full bore until shutting off power in Sonning Cutting is quite an experience.

Certainly worth getting at a sale price.

The 117 (and 121) are a clear missed opportunity. However the Class 50 is a no because DLoGW is set in 1971, this is 5 years before the 50s got there as they were still on the WCML. Also there were various other classes around in 1971 such as...

    Class 22
    Class 35
    Class 42 and 43
    Class 123
    Class 128
    Class 251/261 sets

Adding these would really do it justice with a full timetable and lots of variety. This is not to mention that the 123, 128 and 251/261 could also go onto NTP and Peak Forest for little extra work.

Good point about the 50, though as we’re taking artistic licence… :)

Yes I would have paid handsomely for a well done Warship or Hymek and the Class 123 IC DMU.

I have this vague hope that JT will revisit the Bristol area after they're done with Preston-Carlisle :D They have their TSC route for reference...

    I'd love to see the Western in an early-mid 70s Bristol/Cardiff/Westbury/Swindon setting - plenty of scope to re-use the 31, 37, 45 (as a 46), 47 in various liveries, both pre-and post-TOPS numbers etc...

I haven't played it in a while but it's one of those DLCs I regret getting.. In short, it uses recycled locos to create a 1970s GWE but with GWE still being set in 2017. From what I remember, You need GWE & NTP for it to work.. The Class 52 is basically the exact same from WSR but now in a slightly weathered BR Blue but at least all class members are named now apart from just D1010 & D1015.
