Class 387 Great Western Express

Every train in TSW for England is diesel, and also both trains on the GWE have been taken out of service for that area. A Class 387 to add as another train to operate would make it much more realistic, as having two trains that don't operate there anymore isn't very real. It also would make sense of the overhead wires, and being the train that operates the entire line that GWE holds. It should be added soon as a new loco for GWE.

They are 66ft car length and were delivered in December 2014

 

But the TSW Route is still only available for Diesel Trains, they need to update the entire Route then with Electric

 

They could make a whole new route GWE with class 387’s and class 800’s

Class 800 is diesel and electric
Class 387 is electric

 

They already worked for making the route electric, because it’s the same construction

 

Said it on another post, but again, speak to the license holders of the 387 and 800 because it's licensing that is apparently the issue.

 

But Dovetail has already the license for GWR Trains, so why should they said no to Class 387 and 800?

 

GWR have licensed their logos, doesn't necessarily mean they have ownership of the license for the units themselves...
I'm sure the 387 would be easy enough given they have similar units on other lines in TSx, but the 800 isn't branded in any DTG game that I know of and I'm not sure if Hitachi would do so

 

The Great Western Express route does not have functional overhead wires; they are just props which don't work. This means that a Class 387 can't be made for Great Western Express as it wouldn't work.

Dovetail Games doesn't have the resources to keep updating routes like Great Western Express every time a change happens in real life. It is set in 2015 before electric trains were in operation on the Great Western Main Line (except Heathrow trains) and it will remain set then.

 

Why not Ressources?
If they charge 14€ or 20€ for both Trains with full electrified Route, so they get the money from us back to make it Happen like every DLC.

 

One thing on the point of "electrifying the lines", if it works like TSx then that's a marker set on the rail and all the OHLE is just visual

Of course it wouldn't look right but still..

 

So they need to go to Bombardier for 387 licensing and Siemens for class 800 licensing

 

Make a Whole new one set when HST we’re out of GWR and trains went to didcot parkway

 

More accruately Bombardier need to agree to the 387 (and GWR need to agree to license their corporate branding on them) and Siemens need to agree to the 800 (and GWR need to agree to license their corporate branding on them)
I am pretty sure DTG have contacted both in these instances, but that neither unit has appeared in TSx or TSW says something to me

The 800 hasn't "officially" been released there either, nor has (to my knowledge) a 387 although the electrostar HAS been released on the Kent lines so I don't know why not as someone must have given permission in that instance

 

The Class 800 is made by Hitachi not Siemens
