I watched a In Cab video of this unit on the WCML Up line terminating at Birmingham New Street. I I'm right in thinking this is a Network Rail Track Survey Unit.
How will this fit into Fawx's TT.

 

It runs about twice a week over the route....

Hello, I've been a bit quiet on here lately - Been touching grass. I originally planned on just doing the ex Bakerloo section but decided once I had, the whole route needed veg detailing.

Bit o' Sudbury Jn with foliage & disused masts. Ignore fps (i'm on lossless scaling)

 

Sorry to wade in again on this, they are known as the Brent Sidings, Sudbury Junction is further North towards Wembley Central. Looks a lot better than it currently does in the "sim". Great work!

Genuinely cannot wait for this, you've gone above and beyond for turning this from a very lacklustre route into something that looks a joy to experience.

I unfortunately have a nit-pick. Looking at the video JetWash released yesterday, I see that the southern approach to Bletchley is still almost completely lacking the foliage it has in real life. I have no clue why this happened in the original release to begin with as they've been pretty generous with trees around the rest of route. I was wondering if this might get added maybe as a post release update or something?

Will the pack work if I don't have the GOBLIN and 390? Kind of are they layered in so that the mod is still playable but it would remove goblin objects and the 390/710 trips just won't appear on the timetable. But overall, I could still benefit from the enhanced 350, new 805 and new NMT timetables.

The addon-manager will need updating for that to happen I'm afraid. Currently the scenery absolutely requires Goblin installed or it'll crash the game.

No. In this instance you just won’t see that graffiti

What about also placing the 805 on al remaining Voyager services (if there even are any left)? Even if we would get a Voyager someday you can just replace it there. If there are no Voyager services left disregard my idea.

 

Huge congratulations to everyone involved in this project, as a console user it stings to know that the route won't be anywhere as detailed as this EP officially but the work put in has been incredible and hopefully lessons are learnt from this and DTG will incorporate some of these improvements into the core route.

Well, that's a real disappointment- I almost said "kick in the teeth." I don't have Goblin and don't really intend to get it, not unless it turns up on massive sale. I'm not about to pay thirty bucks for a route that would fit inside Wembley Stadium.

 

It’s a very good route to be honest, one of the best there is.

It is what it is though, there’s nothing we can do about it unfortunately. It requires an update to add-on manager which may or may not come.

 

Some of the previews for the reskins included have been made tonight, hope you enjoy them

I love that the 805 is included. Is its Bi Mode functionality simulated in the EP (as in, it's fast as a diesel as well rather than just the emergency engine of the 801)?

 

I’m not actually sure, I think I just set it up as electric but one of the others will have to check that.

A quick heads up to those looking forward to this - it can be fairly performance-intensive in places so be warned! Do not expect to run this trouble-free on your Pentium 90...

My personal experience of the current build is getting dips in FPS around Euston and Wembley (down from a locked 62 to around 35FPS) but I have a reasonably chunky system - 5700X3D / 3070Ti / 32GB RAM running ultra settings with 120% screen percentage. I believe this is more down to the timetable than anything else, which is getting extremely busy.

(I'm primarily on testing and root cause analysis duties giving Fawx a hand with the timetable but I've also been testing other elements of the EP too.)

I was thinking that there would be some kind of impact after I counted 16 commuter services plus 7 Class 390's, and that figure does not include any that are in tunnels or parts of the route that are locally not in sight. This was set against the service time of 37mins posted by Jetwash yesterday.

I reckon that I should be okay with my PC

 

With things like this, I am sure glad I was able to spring for a high end gaming machine.
